SOURCE: My harmony remote won't change channels or do

Hi. There are a couple of things that you can try to get the remote working. First, you can learn the commands from the original remote for your devices.

Also, ensure that the buttons on the remote are properly mapped to commands. You can check your button mapping my clicking "Customize Buttons" beside the icon for your Activities.

Hope that is helpful.

The following steps will reset your remote. If this does not fix it, then it's probable a hjardware related problem.

1- Remove the battery from the Harmony remote, hold the 'Off' button and insert the battery back in. The screen will display 'Safe Mode'.

2- Make sure you have version 7.7.0 of the Harmony software installed on your computer. You can download it at http://logitech.com/myharmony.

3- Launch the software and log in to your account.

4- Click on 'Downloads' at the top of the screen.

5- Click 'Firmware' and follow the steps to update the firmware on the remote.

6- Update your remote.

No color, just black and white. Problem arose when synchronizing Pioneer remote for SD533HDTV to a Logitech Harmony remote.

I just wanted to let you know that there is no possible way that this problem was caused by the Harmony remote. When you are learning commands from your original remote to the Harmony, all that happens is that the Harmony remote reads the commands that your original remote is sending. It does not change anything on the original remote.

Hope you are able to fix this. :)

try these steps to fix the problem your experiencing with your LCD. most of the time this will work.

1- Remove the battery from the Harmony Remote for 10 seconds and insert it back in, and test the remote to see if the screen is displayed properly. If this does not fix the issue, please proceed with the following steps.

Then software will ask you to select "Yes" to update the remote and click on "Next" to do a remote update, which will take the information on your account with your Devices and Activities and bring them into the Harmony Remote.

Touch screen display broken

HI! Here's what to do if your Logitech Harmony remote's LCD screen has gone blank.

1. Remove the battery, press and hold the 'OFF' button, and re-insert the battery. The screen will display 'Safe Mode!', or the 'Activities' button will be lit.

2. Connect your remote to the computer.

3. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.

4. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware".

5. The remote will go through the firmware update.

6. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.

If the screen is still blank after you complete these steps, then it is a hardware issue and you should contact Logitech's wonderful support team, given that the remote is still under warranty. If you are not in warranty, Logitech does not provide repair services for Harmony products.

Hope that helps.

The display on my Logitech Harmony 520 has gone out. The remote lights up and controls everything but you cant see any of the letters on the screen to know what you are selecting.

Try opening the Logitech Harmony remote software on your computer, then log in. Update the firmware. Don't plug the USB cable into the remote until you are requested to by the program. It should recognize the remote and let you know, even if the screen isn't showing anything. Try to update and see if this helps.
