I have a a rs16 and the screen says 6700 rev c what does that mean

need more info is it a wired controller if so make sure 4 pin red plug is plugged into bezel board sometimes they unplug for winterization if plugged in make sure where it goes into house or into RS system that the wire isnot cut or nicked sounds like it isnt seeing controller if all ok shut system down and reboot

make sure wire isnt shorted

6700 REV C is usually the control boards and in rare cases the wiring between the two. Here is a post to troubleshoot http://goo.gl/4Hp7k. It also points to www.fixyourboard.com. Bottom line, don't buy new, get them fixed.

But if you mean the LCS screen, I think you might have to send it to a Nokia repairer.

Nokia 6700 clasic:
Go Menu->Messaging->Message settings->Service messages and choose OFF all three stafs.
Disable= Service messages. message filter. autom. conncetion.
