Question about Refrigerators

Open Question

Samsung Refrigerator-RT28. Problem: Zero cooling effect. This is the third time since purchase, we are facing this problem. Each time it is a hell of a job to find Samsung service centre here in Mangalore, to get our fridge repaired. The Shop from which we bought the fridge was found closed permanently, just 2 months after our purchase. Then there is no proper service centre here. Now the fridge is outoforder again, but nobody here to attend to it from Samsung centres.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Freezer is working/refrigerator works sometimes

No No No. The most likely reason that the evaporator fan is not running is that it probably uses the heater circuit for its neutral feed. I.E. In order for the fan to have 230v/115v it needs a zero voltage brought back through the defrost heater and defrost stat. I know this for a fact because I just did one today and have fallen for this scenario (ie bad fan motor) before. You need to check from ground(earth) to each side of the fan motor (which is easily accessible) and then across the fan motor windings. The chances are that you have zero voltage across the motor. The fan will also not run until the temperature of the evaporator coil has been brought below 0 'C (32'F) and this can take up to 20 mins (again speaking from experience). This is to prevent snow being produced after defrost. I would advise getting the engineer to come back if you have paid him money and do a proper job. Shorts in Amanas can happen but have not come across one yet. Hope this helps.

ok what he was trying to say is that the freezer does all the cooling for both sides as nothing in the fride side cools and in order for the fridge to reach its proper temp the freezer should run any where between -0 to-10 then the fan in the freezer draw-es air from the fridge and cools it and circulates to the fridge now i need to know a few things is the compressor running is the freezer fan running do you see any frost on the back wall of the freezer section is the fan running in the back that's near the compressor to cool the condenser coils then i can better advise pleas hold my rating till we are done where did you purchase the unit

THE REFIGERATOR SIDE OF MY 632 IS NOT GETTING COLD

More than likely you need to "dust off" (with a vacuum brush tip) the coils in then upper compartment. Remove the upper cover and vacuum off the face of the coils located on the right side. This needs to be done every six months.

pop the top panel and clean your condenser, this is the most common problem, other than that it could be your compressor or refrigerant leak.this model i believe is two separate systems so one will not effect the other/. good luck!

We've had tonza problems with ours too, kept building up frost, temperature sensor acted up as well. Piece of trash if you ask me. Never fixed it (did not want to throw money at it). Amazingly we just got a new one... another Samsung.... (with 4 yr extended warranty though this time!)

Low Cooling from Samsung RT28 Frost Free Refrigerator

just water, tray is for defrost only nothing else happens with tray. make sure it is in right area to catch water (should see tube sticking out about inch or two) also look inside under crisper trays for drain hole to see if stopped up from moveing fridge, use straw or something small to push in to check ( it's just a drain) also make sure unit is clean under and on back, no dust bunnies ( use vacuum to clean)
