Try a clean install:

Removing the software and reinstalling it using a "clean boot" may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. Booting clean is a way to eliminate programs from conflicting with installation of software.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
3. Locate the listing for the software and remove it. When prompted to remove the camera drivers files, click Yes.

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot'. I am assuming that you have XP. If you have a different OS, just let me know and I will send you the appropriate procedure to boot clean in that OS.

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the software. Next , do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

No doubt what you have purchased is a DVD. To install the program you will need a DVD/ROM drive. (If you only have a CD drive, it will not install.)

When you install it, there will be "Help" available on the program, perhaps even a tutorial also.

Disable any antivirus program running. Install Windows SP3. Restart the computer and then try to install the software.

I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE PRINT WORKSOFT SOFTWARE THAT I RECENTLY PURCHASED. THE DRIVE WILL NOT READ THE DVD AND I GET THE MESSAGE "INSERT **** IN TO DRIVE" .

try to verify if your ROM can read DVD disc, or may be the disc is damage.

try to insert your software to other DVD rom to manually check the printworkshop. if read then, you DVD rom got error or what so ever causes. maybe it a system failure.

If you are sure that your ROM is working properly, then you have to consult the vendor of the print workshop.

I just installed Print Workshop 2009 and would like to print some DVD labels. I cannot seem to find the correct template for Avery 8699 labels. Please advise. Thanks.


try avery 5931 see if that works Aver templates never match the number they tell you you kinda have to look for the correct number

I am having problem trying to install print workshop something seems to be wrong with my dvd-rom


There may a disk problem please see the bottom of the disk if any scratches or any dust . You have clean the disk by disk cleaner solutions. After cleaning the disk put the disk in to the dvd-rom and try it . if not please inform to fixya.com

I cannot install Print Workshop 2008. I have tried going to RUN, and installing device updates, but nothing works. Am I out $20. I had a problem with Print Workshop 2004 but at least I could install...


Usually you just put the CD in the drive and it automatically runs. Do you have more than one CD? Sure you're starting with the right one? Once you have the CD in the drive, double click on My Computer, then double click on the Compac Disk drive icons. If that doesn't start it, it will at least display the names of the files on the CD. Look for the Setup program and double click on that. Good luck.

Uninstall the workshop 2008 and reinstall it. If it is not passable remove the manually in program folder as will as registry be careful wheal removing in registry. And reinstall it
