SOURCE: how to set the time

For independent operation, the clock is connected to a reliable source of 120 VAC 60HZ (or 230 VAC 50HZ), and time is maintained with a real time clock chip. Switches located on the front of the clock allow for easy and accurate time setting. For system clock applications, synchronization can be accomplished by connection to Simplex BCD digital data for instantaneous time updates. Clocks can also be connected to power line carrier/synchronous timing inputs that provide hourly and 12 hour corrections. Impulse correction from the 6400 Series Master Clock is ideally suited for Time and Attendance System expansions. A capacitor in each clock maintains timekeeping for approximately 12 hours in the event of power failure in the facility. The Celestra 2000 can be corrected with six different clock codes to suit any specific retrofit or new synchronized time system.

How to speed up our simplex 100 time clock it loses 2 minutes per month?

It looks like this model is discontinued, so parts are going to be difficult to find. Electronic models can go bad, just like mechanical ones. I know of no adjustment you can make, but that model is capable of being set by a master clock, if you have one.

Once you select the time zone and whether you are observing DST, the clock sets automatically. That's the point of having an atomic clock.

How do I oil an old Simplex school clock?

Many of the old Simplex clocks used what is called a synchron motor. They are ending their useful life when they start making noise. You can extend the life a bit by light spraying WD-40 into them. ( under the cover ) Best, since they are usually held in with just 2 screws is to order a new one. They can be found online by Googling the information that is printed on the round motor cap.

With the back dust cover off, as you look at the back of the brass movement. At the top, dead center, off the plate away from you, is a metal post with 2 springs attached to it. Slide a thin-bladed screwdriver straight down from that shaft, pushing down gently on the lever you see below the post. You should see a little movement, and hear a quiet click, of another lever to the right.

I have a lacrosse technology wall clock how do i set the time

You don't set the time. You set the Time Zone and it sets itself.

What model is YOUR clock?

This site lists several models of La Crosse wall clocks with downloadable instructions.

Quartz president wall clock, I need to set the chime

I have a pendulum wall clock from the president collection. If yours is the same or similar, the following may help:
*Look at the back for a slide switch labled "start" at the top and "set" at the bottom and move it to "set"
*Look for for small push buttons. They represent the hours and minutes. Push each in turn, the number of pushes to represent the time, ie, for 09:45, ignore the first(0), push the second 9 times(9)-push the third 4 times(4)- push the 4th 5 times(5). When done, push the slide switch back to "start".
If yours is the same as mine - a wall hung pendulum clock with Westminster chimes, made around 1988. I would be happy to scan and send a copy of the instructions.

I have a Simplex Bell clock here at the school. I'm trying to program it and am unable to get it to set. Please help me with instructions on how to set the bell clock and how to set it differently for...

Hey, BAC systems are usually microprocessor controlled and normally can be set from the controller with the different times and days the bell would be used. My school ditched their old analogue Simplex controller and retrofitted it with an Entek TC2100 digital time clock controller. I would contact Simplex and ask them for the manual for the control system. Or do what I did, PLAY WITH IT!
