Question about Casio Exilim EX-S500 Digital Camera
We had the same problem with a Casio Exilim. Had been stuck for months...had nearly given up until I saw another post about banging the camera pretty forcefully to get the lens unstuck. I hit it once on the bottom onto my desk(w/ paper and blotter on the desk-so soft), then twice with the back of the camera against the desk. I turned it on and the lens was unstuck!! Immediately took a couple pictures and it seems to be working fine! If the camera may be lost, you've got nothing to lose to try this out...Good luck!

I had a similar problem - lens stuck open and I was unable to switch the camera on. I thought it was a battery issue - however when I tried to recharge the battery, it flashed red then switched off (fully charged! I now know)
After reading some of the posts on here - I wondered if our camera had been dropped. When I checked the lens sideways on, it did seem a little crooked. With the battery out, I gently moved the end piece of the lens and it clicked back into place . When I replaced the battery the camera switched on!

Samsung S760 lens gets stuck part way out when powered up. I pulled it fully out manually and it now works fine. Problem in this camera seems to be caused by using the picture review button > when the cam is powered up. If you press the review button when the cam is off, you can review your pics and the lens doesn't stick.
