Acer Aspire 1640 flashdrive slots

On my Acer Aspire 1640 the flashdrive slots do not work. They will not accept any flash drive for any period of time. Does anyone know what I can do?

The USB Root Hub of your computer must have its driver corrupted or the USB Root Hub device is disabled. Go to Control panel/Device Manager and scroll down to the USB ROOT HUB DEVICES. Right click on the device and enable it if it's diabled. If not, try updating the device driver online.
