Question about Sony BDP-S300 Blu-Ray Disc Player
I am an American in Europe (at present) I have three of these "Bricks". Chipping or Linux is the only cure I know of for the Multi use. But there is another problem.
If you are unfortunate to own one of these, be aware:
Depending on the MFG run it is a built defective unit.
If you receive the no disk message on all play attempts and a cleaning does not clear the problem, you have one of the MFG defective units. Cheap sub spec. parts failure. Sony has lost the responsible 1st rate rep. they once had. This problem has been going on since the introduction but Sony refuses to do the responsible thing which is to recall this MFG broke peice of garbage.
(the three I have were given to me because of the "no disk" problem)

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
