Downloading I have not been able to completely download anything onto my larptop. The screen pops up and I hit run and save (I have tried both options) and then after the file is done downloading the downloading screen exits and nothing else happens so I was wondering what I can do to fix the problem.

Sky go desktop - please sign in to complete download but nothing happens

I've figured out why this error occurs and how to avoid it
When you are downloading items your Sky Go app will AUTOMATICALLY LOG OUT after so many minutes. When this happens you will hit this error!
The way to avoid it is to RE LOG IN before the download has completed. I know it's a bit of a pain and you can't just leave the items downloading in the background but it does save having to delete them all and start again.

Windows 7 starter, internet explorer 9, will not allow to download programs. asks to run-save-cancel. hit on "run" will show as downloading then say "this program couldn't be downloaded" happens on...

Try reinstalling internet explorer? Or start using another browser, I'd recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla FireFox. You might need to download the installers on some other computer and then transfer them using a USB drive.

My laptop comes to a reboot screen so i hit start normally and goes back to the same screen

This means your HD has a boot virus. You can fix it by downloading or purchasing a anti-boot virus program, or you can simply bypass it by reinstalling Windows. This will get rid of the virus but the downside is you will lose anything you did not have saved. Put the anti-boot virus program onto a disk and insert it when you turn on the computer, the computer will prompt to start the CD and just follow the instructions. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Trouble downloading skype

Can't DOWNLOAD it or can't INSTALL it? Are you saving it to your computer first to install it later, or are you trying to install it while downloading? Save the files to your computer first, then run the install when the download is complete. What method of internet are you using (cable modem, DSL, dial up)?

Do i click save or run when downloading a program for ongoing use

Either will work. Save will allow you to save the file and run again if you need, eg, if the installation fails for some reason. Run will save the file to a temp folder and run when completed downloading. It's really up to you. I personally always save then run.

Downloading Kodak Easyshare

when it goes to the installation wizard.... do you let it run long enough to see a screen that gives you a choice to repair or uninstall ?

quick fix for the errors that are shown in start up is the start menu.... run and type in msconfig in the box.... another window pops up. click on the start up tab.... unmark any reference to kodak.
