Low Disk Space in Windows XP

Click on Start | Run, type Regedit, and click on OK. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT _USER\
Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. If there's no DWORD value
there, create a new one called NoLowDiskSpaceChecks.
Once you are in the Explorer folder, select Edit from the menu, select New, and choose DWORD
value. Now double-click on the new DWORD and assign it the value 1. Log off and log on once
more, and you won't receive the warning again. Note that the warning will be turned off for
all your hard drives.
1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe).
2. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.
3. Go to the Edit menu, and select New - DWORD value.
4. Enter a name of NoLowDiskSpaceChecks, and press Enter.
5. Double-click the new value, set it to 1, and click OK.
6. Close the registry editor.
7. Log off and log on for the change to take effect.
REM copy here regini
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
"NoLowDiskSpaceChecks" = REG_DWORD 1 REM end copy here
If you want to keep the partition intact, and just want to get rid of the low
space warnings:
Control Panel (Classic view) > Administrative Toots > Computer Management >
highlight Disk Management in the left pane > right
click in the right pane on the D partition and select Change Drive Letter and
Paths > Click the Remove button > click OK
If you want to access the volume later, you can reassign a drive letter. The
data on the disk will not be damaged.

How to log on to Windows XP if you forget your password or if your password...

Introduction:
If you forget your Windows password or if your password expires, you
must reset your password before you can log on to your computer. This
article contains two methods that you can try to reset your password
so that you can log on to your computer again. These steps only work
if you have previously created a password reset disk for the computer,
or if you can log on as an administrator to assign a new password to
your account.
If you do not have a reset disk or cannot log on as an administrator,
unfortunately, you may have to reinstall Windows XP and all other
programs that were installed on the computer before you can use the
computer again. This is for security. Without these safeguards, anyone
could reset a password to anyone else's computer and gain access to
private information.
This article is intended for a beginning to intermediate computer user.
You may find it easier to follow the steps if you print this article first.
More Information:
Reset forgotten or expired password
If you forget your password or if your password expires, there are two
methods that you can use to log on to create a new password. One
method is to use a password reset disk, if you have created one. By
using the password reset disk, you can recover your user account and
your personalized computer settings. Another method is to log on using
the administrator account to delete the forgotten password and then to
create a new password.
If you have a password reset disk, go to method 1. If you do not have
a reset disk, go to method 2. The instructions guide you through each
step and help you verify that the problem is resolved.

When I turn on my emachines t3265 desktop computer, it freezes at the logo, and does not proceed to Windows so I can log on. What is the likely problem, and how can I fix it?

Turn it on.
Hit the ESCAPE (or TAB) key to replace that colourful logo with the technical details of the computer's POST (Power On Self Test) messages. Look for any messages, such as "unable to boot from disk drive" or "disk-drive not detected". Also, remove any CD/DVD media from the CD/DVD drive. Also, remove any 3.5-inch diskette, and disconnect any USB memory-sticks BEFORE you turn it on.

When I put in my password it tells me "The User Profile Service service failed the log on User profile cannot be loaded

switch the laptop on and then after the post messages appear and before windows starts press f8 repeatedly until the startup menu appears choose safe mode then log in as administrator. click start control panel > users > click manage user accounts then click create new user and create the account with administartor rights. Restart the laptop and log in to the new account you created then open computer up and right click on local disk c and click properties then click on tools click the button next to error checking saying check now. It will say windows cannot check a disk while it is in use and would you like to schedule a check on nxt restart or it will have a button saying schedule disk check, if its the latter click it. restart the pc and let it check the disk

after it has started windows try to log back in to your old account

if you cant log in to your old account you may be infected with a virus, scan your laptop.

My problem is my computer is always reastart in working my opareting system is windows 7

This sounds like a hardware issue, you need to check your error logs and see what is happening. Hard drives sometimes manifest errors like this. The Windows error logs are listed under the EVENT viewer, press start and type event. What you are looking for are errors or critical errors. warnings and information is of little concern. If these logs do not show errors, of significance, hard drive is suspect, again, as failure precludes the error being written to the disk.
