Why does my MTX thunder 702x amplifier cut on and off

Check fuse on amp under hood. Also, check wire connections makes none of them are loose and move your RCA jacks around to see if you have a short.

MTX 8302 sound just quit on front speakers

hi Dan....Have you had any other service or installs shortly prior to the onset of clipping? In any case, the 8302 has Onboard Thermal Protection which is kicking in due to excessive heat. If you've had this running fine for a period of time, by that I mean at least a month, then we need to focus on why you're suddenly overheating......please update your post with any further information and progress.....good luck my friend

How can i hook up a second battery to my MTX 4105d amp

well the best way is keep the amp hooked up how it is now and on your amp there is a + and a - for a cap hook up the negative to the negative for the battery and the positive to a fuse like with a 60 amp fuse then the other end of the fuse link goes to the battery

I have 4 MTX 10s and a JL 1400D amp and it cuts off if i turn it up to bang it what do i do

How do you have the subs wired and what impedance are they? Your amp is only stable to 2ohms. If they are 4ohm drivers, 2 have to be series & 2 have to be parallel. If their 8ohm drivers, parallel is fine. If your not sure, add a comment to this post with the model numbers on your subs and I will get you the correct info needed to do it right.

Not working

disconnect the subs from the amp and check to see if the amp will turn on and stay on-check the subs to see if they are blown with a different source try a pair or a single sub that you know works fine on the amp and see if it plays-this should tell you whether your amp is fried or your subs are roasted

Just got this amp, and was wondering what subs I should get with this amp

Did some research and it sounds like a wicked lil amp with clean clean sound-its hard to say what subs to tell you to run because everyone has different taste- and without knowing what your setup is going to be theres no real way to actually say-the amp is made to run 3 channels -so focusing on the sub channel only i personally say get a pair of 10s or a good 12-your not throwing a ton of power so you dont have to go balls out on the subs- i personally like MTX subs and xtant is made by MTX so that wouldnt be far from home -good luck with that

Short Curcit?

the amp have an input harness? those can go bad, or maybe line level inputs are loose. If its not just a loose connection on one of the amps inputs (speaker, line, or power) leading to the circuit board( which could easily be soldered back to the corcuit board), than your looking at an integrated circuit problem- not easy to fix.
