Question about True TBB-2 Beverage Cooler

1 Answer

True back bar unit- Very old, Compressor fan works, condenser fan works but blows only warm air-I looked at previous posts and checked smaller tube from compressor to see if it was hot, it was not. The compressor was hot though. Think it might be leaking coolant?

Why does my ac not blow cold air?

You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds After you turn it back on the system should reset. If you need any other assistance check us out online at Boca AC Service we are always happy to lend a helping hand

Why does the compressor run only for about 5 minutes then shut off, leaving the fan still running?

It seems that you have a system short. You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset.

If this doesn't help I would recommend calling a ac service company.

2003 Ford Excursion 6.0L diesel. A/c blows warm air, compressor was recently replaced and serpentine belt, AC was recharged, condenser, orafice tube. Fuses were checked and it still blows warm. I put it...

Check that the heater is turning off as the hot air will over come the cool air. Check that the clutch on the a/c pulley is still engaging as it the unit was over filled or has a leak from a badly fitted pipe the high low switch will not allow the compressor to work.. If the work was done professionally check that the correct gas was used and seek warranty for the problem.

No water collected

check to see if the fan is blowing across the condenser. there should be warm air blowing out the back. if there isn't, the fan may need to be replaced so the heat exchanger can cool down. may be running too hot. also check the condenser in the front to see if the air flow is blocked with dust. if so, change the filter if it has one. if there is cool air blowing, the compressor may not be turning on.

Can't lower cooling temp

Is you indoor fan running? Is the out door unit running? (Condensing Unit) If both are true, is the larger of the two copper lines on the Condensing Unit colder than the smaller one? If not, is the compressor in the Condensing Unit running? The compressor is the big can under the fan in the Condensing Unit. Please reply to this as you may need a service tech. at this point.

Duo-therm rooftop RV a/c - one unit cools fine, other unti comes on, fan blows but air is warm.

Hi, you would need to get up top to find out what is going on. Remove the cover, check to see if the small condenser fan motor is on and running, if not, touch it carefully after it has been on a while to see if it is hot. If so, try giving the blade a spin. If nothing, this will be your problem. Check to see that the compressor is also on and running. Feel the copper lines coming from it, one should be very cool to the point as to condensate. Be very careful with the smaller discharge or liquid line as it could be around 110 degrees F. Look at the run capacitor to see if it is leaking oil, swollen up or even busted or split open. If so, this will cause your compressor not to run. Look it over and keep me posted. It may have a small leak and has lost its charge also. Get back to me and let me know what you have found. Make sure you have the correct voltage to it also.
Sincerely,

My true back bar cooler dosent cool it is not iceing over

If you can gain access to the compressor, you will see 2 copper lines going to the compressor. One is smaller than the other. VERY CAREFULLY lightly touch the smaller line while the unit is running. If the compressor is running, that line will be extremely hot.
Start there.
Let me know if I can be of further help.

TRUE GDM 26 merchandiser has sealed lines to the freeon and cant access. The fan blows warm air and all the lights work. It just doesnt cool. The compressor was cleaned only 2Xs in 3 years.

What do you mean the compressor was cleaned. It sounds to me you need to clean out the condenser coil. free it from all dust and debris. + Does the compressor work and what gas is in the system, does the condenser fan work. I'm assuming that when you say the fan works, it is the evaporator fan inside the cabinet working. You will have access the condenser fan either from the front or rear of the unit. The condenser unit is normally extracted from the rear. it should slide out but take care not to kink any of the pipework.

Will not cool properly.

You have either a faulty thermostat, dirty condenser and evaporator or a faulty run capacitor. Need to service soon before the compressor is damaged. Sea Breeze
