Light turns on and moves up and down but will not go from side to side only clicks, I removed the light and the gears looked good. could it be the control itself?

I have a similar problem - up and down works; left and right does not - and there isn't even a clicking noise. Is it the wiring, motor assembly, or something else.

Chances are that it may be a ceased motor assy.
I had same problem & solved it by replacing motor assy.
Suggest unwire it & remove from unit and apply 12v to terminals (either way round)
If the gear wheel does not turn slowly then that is where your ploblem lies.
Replacement motor not excessively expensive.

Cd does not eject from kenwood kdc-138

First if your still under warranty return for new player if not carefully remove top and bottom covers check for any clear tape holding cd door shut or Look at LED sensors blocked by strofoam or cardboard that may have gotten inside the home position guide (the tray that holds the CD) the LED's are located at the front where the door first opens and at the rear where the CD goes deepest into the player, lightly clean with cotton ball and alcohal first remove hot wire ,Now turn cd player upside down and tilt side to side listen for loose screws or other debree check make sure belts are all tight by lightly tugging with index finger turn gears only one eighth of a turn never force anything, if they move that is a good sign, by moving the gears out of position when it is turned back on it will try to find home position, reconnect hot wire and try CD player again.Do not get grease on LED's make sure there is nothing on the CD like a sticker making the cd to thick will clog the device.if still no joy hand turn the gears until the cd is all the way out.Try different CD again never force good luck

Oster A5 clippers are slow and vibrating noisily even without a blade attache. Any ideas what could be wrong with them please as I have a dog only half clipped at the moment. Thanks

If the nylon lever (the tab that moves the blade back and forth) is not moving with the blade off, or only moving sometimes, chances are that you have a stripped bakelite gear. Take the two screws out of the cover plate and remove it. Remove the lever (the nylon part that moves the blade) Remove the link (the metal part that the lever connects with). Remove the bakelite gear (the part that the link fits down over). You should then be able to see if the teeth are chewed or worn off to the point that the armature gear will not turn the bakelite gear. If that is the case, replace the gear. Amazon carries both single speed and 2 speed gears under Oster A5 clipper parts. All these parts should have a light coat, where they move, of lithium grease, and the two pads (one on each side of the lever) should be oiled. You might also check the condition of your brushes (under the caps on each side of the clipper. Take cap off, remove cover from brush, remove spring and brush to see how worn they are).
Good luck.

Lexmarkx73 Won't feed paper through while printing

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.
