Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
My husband and I have had this PS3 for almost a year, and we've had almost no problems with it. It's been working fine forever, and it turned on yesterday and worked beautifully, it didn't freeze, it didn't make any strange noises, nothing.
I tried turning it on today, and now it won't even respond. I tried unplugging all the cables, holding down the buttons, everything. I even tried a new power cable in a different outlet even, and that didn't work. It's still under warranty, but it has my workout disc stuck in it, and I would like to get that out before having to send it in. I've been looking for answers about how to get a disc out of a broken PS3 and I have found absolutely nothing helpful.
Please, if you have any ideas, I would love to hear them.
Power off your PS3 (important)
hold the PS3 up in the air with the loading slot facing down.
Power on the and start pressing the eject button (if you can call it a button)
It took a few times but it will work;

Hi guys, im from germany and this is how to get your game out of your dead ps3:
if you have no waranty the only way to get out your game is by breaking open your play, you can try unscrewing it however i didn't manage so i started cracking it open on the silver ledge on the front, pls be careful doing this!!! once you did that rip off the the playstation3 cover, under this you'l find some unscrewing to do... after this you'l be able to unscrew the BRdrive and unplug both plugs. now holding the Drive in your hand unscrew the two silver screws on the metal casing on the bottom, which allows you to fold over the casing completly. now you can see a little plastic housing which holds your game, its magnetic before you pull it out, and c your game, remove the cabled mircochip in the middle if the drive outlet, remove every last sticker and cable holding drive opening (cd outlet) together. then take of the round white plastic housing, now your cd is free but you wont get it out without scratches unless you jolt (rip) open the plastic cd outlet, carefully and only the front, so a 2nd person (who u will need), can lift the cd out while u hold the opening open.
Have fun getting your game back!!!

OK. Turn off the power switch at the back. Then, with your finger over the power sensor/button, turn on the switch. You should hear the fans spin HARD. Then keep tapping eject, then it will eject the disc.

Keep flicking the switch on the back on and off again about 10 times
then press power and it will spit the game out

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
