Check four 5707, two 9204, and one bel 3A slow blow fuse. Also re-solder all cap and transformer.It's quiet common on benq and Dell(benq OEM) 17 LCD. For detail google "benq 5707", sure you can found. Good luck

Fist check the fuse on the inverter board if it is blown replace it if not you need another inverter board as it has fried. But I looked and was unable to find a new/replacement inverter online so I wish you the best of luck

Check for blown MOSFET IRFU9024N and transistors C5707/5706, and fuse in the inverter circuits section. Also look for bad caps with bulging top/seal. See some pictures of failed Dell monitors (BenQ made alot of monitors for Dell), http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

There are 6 (reduced quality) capacitors in the BenQ Q9W5 which cause the screen over time to 'fail to sync' when turning on or resuming from standby.
4x 470uF 35v, and
2x 1000uF 16v.
I recommend the following replacements if you are in Australia (the ones I purchased from Jaycar only lasted 12 months);
