What do you mean by "print tab"?
Do you mean a print icon by any chance? And the bookmarks icon?

Well, the toolbar has been streamlined to give more space to what's really needed every day. Print can be invoked from the menu (File->Print) or by hitting Ctrl+P, and bookmarks by choosing Bookmarks from the menu, or hitting Ctrl+B.

If you however want to have these icons again, place your cursor over the existing icons (Back/Forward, reload, Home etc.) and right-click. From the context menu choose the last option (I think it is Personalize in the English Firefox - I use FF in my native language).

You'll be given a set of additional icons to add to the toolbar (by dragging them with a mouse to the toolbar), among them a Print icon and the Bookmarks icon.

Good luck and please come back with a rating/testimonial if helped.

Bookmarks don't appear in the Firefox Bookmarks drop down like they used to?

They do but it depends on how you add them to your bookmarks. I personally find the fastest way to add a new bookmark and get it to where I want it to be is to drag it there.
At the beginning of each website address (in the address bar) there should be an icon. You can click and drag this icon and place it in your bookmarks bar or in your bookmarks menu.

If you want to order/sort your existing bookmarks you can also use the bookmarks menu which can be accessed through the top option upon clicking open the bookmarks tab.

I hope this helped, if not please let me know what other information you would like and I'll try and help you as best as I can.

I have an IMAC and all of a sudden yesterday I cannot scroll down on facebook account!

Ruth, the solution would be to reset firefox back to its factory settings. First you will want to export your favorites and make sure that you have all your passwords for all your favorite sites documents.

To back up your bookmarks you will:
1. Click on Bookmarks under the bookmarks menu or under the orange firefox menu in the upper left hand corner.
2. Click on "Import and Backup" this menu will allow you to export your bookmarks to an HTML file, save that to your desktop.

Now that we have your bookmarks saved we can reset your browser.
1. Click on the help menu or in the upper left hand corner click on the firefox menu then help.
2. Under the help menu you will click on Troubleshooting information.
3. On the new window that opened you will see in the upper right hand corner a button that says "Reset FireFox" you will click that button and allow it to complete.

That will restore FireFox to it's original settings, allowing all your pages to load correctly.

To restore your bookmarks you will
1. Click on the bookmarks menu or the orange FireFox menu in the upper left hand corner select bookmarks.
2. Click on show all bookmarks.
3. Click on import and backup
4. select your backup file on the desktop.
That will restore all your bookmarks to your browser.

I hope this helps, please let me know the outcome.

How do i import my bookmarks from firefox to safari

Hello. To import your bookmarks from your Firefox browser, choose "organze bookmarks" on the Bookmarks drop down menu at the top part of your firefox browser (or alternatively use ctrl+shift+B). This will open another window labeled "Library"; where all your bookmarks will be shown. From the "import and backup" drop down menu select "export HTML.."; a window pops up that will allow you to export/save your bookmark to a preferred location (Desktop, preferably). After which, open Safari, hit "File" then choose "import bookmarks" and just select the file that you earlier saved.

Updating Firefox

It should upgrade. If you look under Help it show show check for upgrades. When you run this it should show you if there are any upgrades available.

Next check under Tools then Options. This will pull up a new window. Click on advanced tab (right side upper) this will show you what it checks for upgrades. Firefox and Upgrades should be checked. Just under that is how it should handle the upgrades. To have it check and install automatically you should have the Automatically download and install button marked. Hit OK and it should now update automatically when you start Firefox.

It is possible that the older version has a problem with the update section. If everything was set right and it still won;t work then just go to the firefox download page and download the latest version. That should install and fix everything as well as get you up to the latest version. If you do this don't forget to save off your favorites Under your Bookmarks and then Organize there is a Import and backup option. This link should take you to the help page. You may not need this but better safe then annoyed.

I HAVE AN ASUS EE PC 901(LINUX). WHEN I BOOT IMMEDIATELLY A FIREFOX WINDOW OPENS MANY TIMES WITH THE HELP PAGE. THIS HAPPENS ALSO AFTER I CLOSE THIS WINDOW. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You MAY have it set up to remember the previous tabs and it keeps adding and collecting more and more tabs.
Your options are:
1)go into the firefox Tools - Options and

2)go into firefox, select Bookmarks - Organize Bookmarks - and then Export the bookmark file to your desktop. Then remove Firefox from your computer entirely using Add Remove softare from the control panel. Also you will need to restart the computer and rmeove c:\Program Files\Mozilla. Download the new mozilla, reboot the computer and then reinstall the firefox program.

Cannot bookmark page

Hmm zone alarm should not be stopping you from bookmarking it has no outgoing connections to bookmark so that should have nothing to do with your problem. :)

My first thought is that the bookmarks.html file is read only, this happens sometimes after upgrading your firefox.
  1. Navigate to the profile folder
  2. Find bookmarks.html (you can open it and see if any bookmarks in it saved to make sure this is the right file)
  3. Right-click on the file, choose Properties
  4. On the General tab, make sure "Read only" is not checked.
  5. Press OK.
For help how to find the profile folder:
Operating system Profile folder location(s) Windows NT (NT 4.x, 2000, XP, and Vista) "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\" Windows 95 (without Desktop Update) C:\Windows\Mozilla Windows 95 (with Desktop Update)/98/Me C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\
C:\Windows\Profiles\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\
Unix/Linux ~/.mozilla/ Mac OS X ~/Library/Mozilla/
~/Library/Application Support/
If this did not help or it was not read only, another known reason for the bookmarks button to stop working is if you have either a non compatible extension/plugin installed or if you have norton antivirus that messes it up (compatibility issues). I would try to troubleshoot this by first slowly disabling one by one the plugins, meaning disable one, restart firefox, see if it solved it. You do it the following way:

1] From menu that is at the top of Firefox window, you need to click on Tools options and then choose Add-ons. Add-ons window will appear.
2] In add-ons window, you have to select Extensions panel to view your installed extensions
3] Check for extensions known to cause problem when they are installed with Norton: These include Piclens, freecorder, FoxyTunes, Google Toolbar, and Skype extension. If you do not have norton then just go one by one slowly disabling for test.
4] Disable one by one each and every extension that you have from list above each time testing if the one you just disabled was responsible

For disabling the extension do the following:
1] Click on the name of that extension to disable
2] To disable this extension, you have to click on disable button.
Repeat the steps given below for each extension that is causing problem.

5] After you have disabled the extension, you have to close Firefox window. Click on file menu and then choose exit.
6] Right click on any empty spot in Windows task bar and then choose Task manager. An alternative way is to press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
7] Select processes tab
8] Select firefox.exe entry in processes list and then press End process. If there is no “firefox.exe” entry then you can skip this step.
9] Start Firefox browser normally
10] Close Firefox browser again. Click on file menu and then choose exit
11] Start Firefox browser again and see if bookmarks works

Alternatively if after disabling all the addons/extensions the bookmark menu still not works, you can always backup your bookmarks file (located in profile folder, see above for exact path), save it somewhere, reinstall firefox completely and import/copy back the bookmarks.

If the above solutions helped you please rate:):) Let me know if it solves it or not, am sure we find the solution:)
