Take out the spring and recoil it then put wd 40 on the spring and rewind it and that should take care of it.

I had a similar problem with mine that I inherited from the garbage. These guys have an inherent problem from the manufacturer materials. You will find one, the heat of the motor has caused the recoil to drag against the top of the motor. The solution is simple. Add a washer that just screws on to the screws between the upper guard and the bottom of the motor. If that doesn't work, add two. You may have to add a washer or two between the fan and the spacer as well. Problem solved.

Secondly, the air filter cover may be warped and won't seal. Heat it up carefully with propane and draw the hole back out and cool. Next, take a dremmel sanding drum and remove about 1/32 inch from the contact point that it screws into (removed from the carb to keep from clogging the carb). Reassemble and you are done.

I also readjusted the fuel idle mixture screw by bending the tab down and making sure it was about two turns out and rebent the tab. I also tensioned the recoil a couple more turns to give it a little more zip.

I just did both of the repairs to mine along with a total cleaning of the carb as well as replacement of the carb hoses and this guy runs like new, far better than I would have imagined. The recoil no longer jams, not even partially. No oil or lub necessary as the problem wasn't dirt, it was binding from a warped housing.

Pull cord binding when mounted on engine but not when removed from engine

When you assemble the Recoil Starter, push it down onto the blower easily and then pull the cord slowly. It should drop into position as you slowly pull the cord.

I tried pull the cord stuck took it apart spring ok.the shaft from engine stuck,

Sounds like you have a bearing failure, eithe big end or crank shaft bearing. When they go they quite often knacker the piston and cylinder too as it can put them off square. Remove cylinder and the problem will be easy to locate as you can see the big/small end bearings and check for cylinder damage. Often the cost of repair far outweighs the value of the equipment.

The pull cord on my poulan pro weedeater will not

You have a broken recoil spring. Dis-assemble (pull-off) the recoil housing and check for proper dog alingnment, broken spring, or something jammed between recoil sprocket and engine block.

Replace fuel lines WeedEater FL 1500 Blower

On the FL1500:
  • The Smaller line goes on the Lower inlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to the gas filter inside the gas tank.
  • The Larger line goes on the upper outlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to a fitting that holds this tube from coming out on the gas tank .This tube is only for Air, it helps fill the primer bulb when pushed.
I hope this helps.
Mechs correct me if I have made a mistake.
