Question about Cameras
Lens error means the lens is failing to come out this is due to damage to the cogs in most cases its because the unit was bumped hard or dropped the repair cost for this fault is around $ 250 so in most cases its far cheaper to have the unit replaced.
best of luck ..

The lens has a servo fault. This can be either the lens motor, the helicoil in the lens is jamming, or the servo drive electronics has a fault.
You will have to send the camera for service if you want to fix this. I doubt you can fix this yourself unless you have access to the parts, and have the training and tools to do this type of service.

Everytime I try to turn it on, the lens comes out for about a second, the camera beeps 3 times, the lens retracts and the camera shuts off. The battery is completely charged and the camera is only 4 months old. HELPP :(

Hi Most proberly the batery is shot. It wil be fully charged but it does not have "the amps" in this case miliamps to do the job. Pushing out the lens uses alot of the amps "miliamps" and the fact that it can't even rectract the lens back is a sure sign. If possible take the camera to a digital shop and test it with a known good batery!
