Question about Panasonic CT-30WX15 30" TV

1 Answer

No Sound One day everything was fine, the next day we didn't get any sound out of the speakers on the TV. I checked all of the simple things (volume level, no mute, and multiple input devices). I also tried to pipe the sound out of the TV into my stereo, but that didn't work either. I can only get sound if I run audio cables from my cable box directly to my stereo without going through the TV. Can I fix this? One item is that in the audio menu the mode area is greyed out (I cannot select anything).

The sound is on. I put the option on for the speakers, and I also tried using the flow though to the stereo with variable and fixed output. None of them are generating any sound.

    Sound processor?? That sounds pricey.

Check to make sure that the sound option in the TV is not turned off. I am assuming you want to have sound out through the TV set.

Other than that, there may be a failure in the sound processor or anywhere along the sound path in the TV set. This is not something you would be able to service at home yourself.

Toshiba 36a43 i have picture but no sound. Volume control works but again still no sound.

Things to check:

In menu are speakers (audio area) switched on or off?

If you put sound all the way up and listen right at speaker what if anything do you hear?

If using a cable or sat box is sound turned down on it?

Is sound muted on set or the box (if used)

Do you have sound with a DVD etc hooked via the rear jacks?

A few sets have a slide switch on the rear= internal or external speakers--is it set to internal?

failing all of the above you have a audio circuit problem

RCA Model 27F520T - it has no sound everything else is perfect?

I'm not sure what options are available in your audio menu, but here are some things to check before having a repairman check:
Click on menu screen, then select audio menu.
If there is choice of external or internal speakers, select internal.
If there is a noise cancelling option, deselect this.
If you are using remote to increase volume, try the manual volume button on tv.
Does the volume bar at the bottom of the tv increase as you adjust volume ?
Hope this helps

I have a Quasar TV that has worked perfectly fine until the other day. Picture is fine, but no sound. The speaker volume is on.

Check all your channels. If you are getting sound on some channels but not others it is a good possibility that your SAP setting is turned on. Simply go into your audio menu and disable the SAP. Not sure about your model tv but some Tv sets had a switch on the back to disable the speakers and some have a setting in the menu to disable the speakers. If you have a digital cable box hooked to the tv it is possible the cable box volume is turned all the way down which will override your tv volume. Check these options and hopefully one of them works for you.

Tv sound wont work

Make sure that all scarts and sockets are plugged in tightly. Try different inputs, try connecting a DVD player or another piece of equipment to the sockets in turn. Also, if you`ve got a sky box, remove the scart plugs one at a time and reconnect it immediately so that you know where you took it from. Check if there`s a switch on the back for external speakers, Make sure it`s switched to internal. Some of the TV`s have the switch for internal and external speakers in the menu`s. Make sure that any switches whether mechanical or electronic are switched to internal. Ian

(no volume}

Good day.
Have you checked on the settings? Maybe the speaker function was turned off?
Also, the speaker migth got busted or the audio IC may be the root of this.
Please check.
