Why would the freezer and fridge temperature indicators flash after a few hours of the unit being switched on?

Hi, some fridge freezers the indicators flash as they have not got to the right temperature yet. Also some freezers have indicators that will start flashing to let you know that the door has been open to long and the freezer temp has risen.

Good Morning Lize, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Generally speaking, Fahrenheit to Celsius temperature can be change by pressing and holding the Fresh Food up arrow while at the same time pressing the Freezer up arrow three times in five seconds. I ask that you please follow up with a response on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully

Thank you and best of luck!

Electrolux Inspire ENB35405W fridge freezer faulty

Empty it and defrost it completely (24 hours with door open) restart it and check the fridge has cold air again. check the defrost setting on the controller. Also check the drain pan on the back of the unit as it may be overflowing or have a crack in it. Is it still under warranty?

The freezer compartment is working fine, holding at -18 degrees but the fridge section will not chill and has been holding at about 14-15 degrees for over a week but does not get any cooler than...

It sounds like one or more of your cooling tubes is blocked. Either you have a ice or frost buildup on your freezer side or something else is blocking it.

I would suggest you take a look behind the panel in your freezer and use a hair dryer or heat gun to blow warm air down the cooling tubes.

A week ago sounds like it is still under warranty. Check the manual for a troubleshooting chart and see if there is anything power failure. If you find nothing, return the fridge for another one.

If it's American, the temperature probably reads as fahrenheit. If so, 20 degrees F is 12 degrees F below freezing which converts to only -6.67 degrees Celsius.

Domestic freezers should be set to -17 degrees Celsius (= 0 degrees F), so the beeper is warning you that the freezer compartment is far too warm. If it's working correctly and has the temperature control set correctly, then it should achieve the correct temperature if you leave it for 24 hours and do not open the door nor try to use the ice dispenser. If the freezer is full of unfrozen items and so has to cool those down as well, then it may take even longer to reach the correct operating temperature.

Te operating manual for your appliance will tell you how to set the temperature correctly and whether it's possible to select between fahrenheit and Celsius scales. Most models allow you to set an override on the beep alarm as well. I cannot guide you on this without knowing the exact Samsung model.

Please take a moment to rate my reply.

Temperature setting

The fridge should be just above freezing, maybe 2 or 3 degrees celsius. The freezer should be around -15 degrees celsius. The outside temp doesn't matter as far as the settings go.

Hi miss_i2000

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber

Your question is: freezer is icing up and fridge temperature has risen to 10 from 5. Also alot of condensation in the fridge and the fan doesnt seem to be working in fridge. Correct temperature on freezer -18 but ice. new frost free fridge freezer bought 1.5 weeks ago

This is no problem for you. You are under warranty and as long as you have not tryed to repair it yourself you are completely covered. Look for the manufacturer's warranty phone number on the paper work that came with it or call the sales man, he will be happy to track that down for you because he wants repeat business.
If you bought it used the only answer is to return it. You could get a local pro to repair it at yuor own expense but I wouldn't recomend that for a frige only 1.5 weeks old!
