Version updater problems

I need to change my player into play for sure mode (because my media converter wont find it until i do) but since i have version 03.01.11A the is no mode or usb mode in the settings tab. after snooping around i learned that there is a mode tab in the new version so I down loaded the updater, but it says i need to be in play for sure mode to update it. so is it like impossible to update it.

Well, for me, i only have to put the sansa mp3 in windows media player to work, which it should for you, and burn your saved music into the sansa. First, go to my computer, and then type in Sansa to find your mp3. all you have to do.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Not able to play video in philips gogear pls suggets

Hello,

Media players need the matching video format: for GoGear Vibe it is SMV.
To convert video from AVI to SigmaTel Motion Video, use the Media Converter Software from the manufacturer. For the videos you'd like to convert, be sure to update video codecs in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.

Vibe players have different display sizes, so you'll need the matching Converter for your player.
When you have the United States version SA5285/37 next site gives all support, including the Arcsoft video converter:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=SA5285/37&slg=en&scy=US
note
There's and update for the Arcsoft converter, for downloading directly YouTube films:
click on EXTRAS at the top right hand corner of the Arcsoft main screen.
At the pull down menu click UPDATE AND PATCHES, Arcsoft will check
and let user download and install the updated Stream Ripper feature
( streaming videos need flv video codec )

Bbc i player won't play on archos 5

that is because it it incompatible with the version of flash that is used by the archos. unless archos change that with a future update or iplayer suddenly becomes more backwards-compatible in the future then don't expect this to change.

Wont play full song

It sounds like you are in browse mode.

1. Press and hold the mode key on the top-left of the device until you enter the menu
2. slide the mode key to change the mode until you find the 'play music' mode

Device not connected

The Sansa Media Converter will only detect the device in MSC mode, or Plays For Sure (e250R) mode.

Change the mode in the Settings>MODE or USB MODE on the device and re-connect.

Best of Luck,

Sansa e260 says connected but device not recognized

I agree with the above suggestion. Try setting the USB Mode under "Settings" on "MSC" on the Sansa. My computer would not recognize the e260 when the mode was set to "MTP"; works fine on "MSC".
