Their is a fan relay on combo gas heat and central air conditioning.
The reason is for heat you need slower fan speed than for air. How do they do it? They use a relay to shift the fan from low for to high for ac.

Central air compressor is running but no air is blowing inside?

II assume you mean the outside unit is running. if so turn off your system immediately. If no air is coming out of the registers, the blower motor in the air handler is not running and/or the system has froze up. Check to see if you have any ice on the large copper line coming out of your inside unit. There will be rubber insulation on it but just pull it back on the pipe right at the inside unit and you should be able to see ice. Take the service panel off the air handler(inside unit) and turn fan on at the thermostat. There is an "on" and "auto" fan switch on the thermostat. Go back and look in the air handler and see if the fan is running .If it is then you have a refrigerant problem. If the fan is not running then it will be a run capacitor, bad motor, no 24 volt power to relay, bad relay, bad thermostat, bad board if fan relay is solid state, or a bad conductor from the thermostat. Hope this helps. You will probably have to get an a/c tech to troubleshoot either of the above problems more thoroughly to correct it permanently. If the system is froze up and the fan is working then the system is low on refrigerant. This means the system has a leak. The leak will have to be found and repaired before the system is recharged or the refrigerant will just leak back out again.

Is the furnace fan (indoor fan ) running. If not the problem is with the inside unit. It supplies the control power to operate the entire system and has a control fuse on the circuit board. If it is running but not the outside unit then the problem is outside.

Hello
Your still froze up.There is a freeze cutoff device in the air handler upstairs.
Look for a thin silver color tube near the coil and follow it to the control box, there may be a reset button. If not, try using a hair dryer to warm up the coil and it should reset itsself.
These freeze devices can take an hour to reset on there own sometimes,do not run the compressor while doing this.

Why does my fan runs continus. and the condenser won't run out side.

The fan runs continously because your condensor is not kicking on and removing the heat. The thermostat needs to come under the set temp. to kick off the fan. If your compressor doesn't run and the fan on the outside unit does run, your compressor has an issue. If nothing runs outside, then your transformer on the inside unit(air handler) has an issue. This could also be a control relay on the condenser or the air handler.

Turn off the power to the air handler(indoor unit). Remove the access panel. From the motor, trace the wires back to the fan relay. One wire will probably trace back to the incoming power terminal. The other is the fan relay. It could be intermittent thermostat signal to the relay or a bad relay.
To verify if the fan motor is good, you can remove the one wire from the relay and re-attach it to the other side of the incoming power terminal. If it runs OK there, replace the relay. If it does not run, replace the blower motor.

Goodman air handlers (inside unit) fan have a delay timer that turn on the fan ,sometimes up to 3 minutes after the outside unit is on,this makes the a/c more efficiency.

FAN STAYS ON LONG (HOURS) AFTER COOLING TEMP IS ACHIEVED

There is a built in delay on all HVAC systems to evacuate conditioned air (hot or cold) from the ducts -- it's just more efficient that way... but if it's staying on for more that 4-5 minutes at most then there may be a problem with the fan relay... or possibly a limit switch.

My outside unit runs a little while then shuts off.

More likely the out door fan motor has bad bearings and that would cause the out door unit to run for 15 to 20 min but it could be low on freon
when the out door unit runs after 3 to 5 min the larger of the two copper lines going into the unit should be ice cold

If the thermostat you just installed has a time delay that will keep the indoor blower motor running for up to 5 min after the unit shuts off

Inside unit freezing

There are varius items that make the unit inside (air handler) freezes up .If the fan motor in the air handler doesn't work it'llice up.If the filter is dirty it'llfreezes up. If the coil in the air handler is dirty it will freezes up.And if the unit is low in refrigerant(freon) it'll ice up.If is low in gas means there's a leak and before recharged it needs to be fixed.
