How To reset EFO code

Hi. EF0 is suggesting an internal leak which operates a float switch inside the cabinet at the base. It could be a leak (split door seal, hose, etc) or over-foaming causing a momentary leak. Dry the base and inspect. A blocked condenser on the dryer can cause the drum to overfill on wash. I have also witnessed the code come up when the drain pump is jammed..odd as this should be E20. If it drains ok ignore that!.

Some modules have a flood safety in the base, if you have a leak (leaky valve, hole in door gasket etc) the base pan has a disc that floats and operate a microswitch and all the machine will do is pump ( you mat get a fault code displayed or flashing lights). Pull the machine forward on to large towel and tip it forward (pull from the back so it is sitting only on its front feet) if water seeps from underneath this will be the problem. If this is the case, you may find that the machine will start to work again, you will have to trace the leak or the float will just activate when the base pan fills again. Hope this helps, if you need any further assistance please add comment.

Kenmore Washer model # 11082692120 is Leaking as it is filling the tub with water. It is leaking at the base of the machine on both sides and in the front bottom. it was gradual at first now it is leaking...

The leak is likely coming from a broken drain pump or detached pressure hose. Remove the machine cabinet to access and look at these areas.

Unplug the machine then release the console from the top of the cabinet. Remove the screws securing the console then pull forward and up and lay it back on the hinges.

Disconnect the lid switch h
arness connector by pressing on the tab located in the middle and pulling it up.

The cabinet is attached to the rear of the washer
by two brass-colored retaining clips. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the turned-up edge of the clip, located on both sides, and then pry back to release the clip from the slot in the cabinet.

Open and hold the lid while grabbing
the cabinet front opening then tilt the top of the cabinet toward you by pulling the cabinet away from the base. This releases the front and back slots of the cabinet from the tabs in the front and back of the base

Using the side of your leg and/or body
as a support for the front of the cabinet, carefully lift up the cabinet and set it aside.

Replace the drain pump(part number
3363394) if it's leaking. Pry the clips securing the pump to the motor off and remove the pump.

Remove the hoses from the pump and connect it to the new pump and install it back in place in reverse order of the removal steps.
Bring the cabinet to the front of the washer then slide the front bottom rail of the cabinet under the rail at the base of the machine then lay down the cabinet into position. Make sure the slots in the cabinet sit into the tabs at the base of machine. Reconnect the lid switch harness then push the retaining clips back down into position to secure the cabinet to the rear of the machine. Reinstall and secure the console to complete the repair.

I have a leak at the front bottom of my lg front load washer

this most likely is coming from the pump assembly which is located on the front... make sure the clean out filter lid is tight and nothing is leaking from there... make sure you have no tears in the door liner /rubber boot... your going to have to gain access to inside of unit to inspect and see where exactly the water is coming from could even be comning from one of the hoses that go to your dispenser area as water does go through there during operation..... good luck to you....

I have a small leak in front of the washer

The best way to find a leak in this machine is to operate it with the cabinet removed. You need to remove the trim caps on the control panel and remove the two screws in the corners. Flip the panel back on it's hinges. Unhook the lid switch harness, and pop out the two gold clips that secure the cabinet to the back panel. Tilt the cabinet back slightly and pull off of the base. With most models, you should still be able to fill the machine with the lid switch disconnected. Check the water pump first for bulging plastic or a small hole, as that's a common leak source. Hope that helps.

Leaking at front base of washer. Not a stream but a growing puddle as it goes through its cycles. Not sure where to look to find the cause. All water and drain connections are good.

Remove the cabinet to access the water pump. It is attached to the motor front/center.
It will be leaking.
No repair, only replacement will stop the leak.
Remove 2 screws on the right and left sides of the control console. The console is hinged. Fold it to the rear of the machine. Unplug the lid switch connector.
Remove 2 clips holding the back panel to the cabinet base.
Remove the cabinet. Motor and pump are at the bottom center.

On this washer  the seal was replaced ?Did it stop leaking after the seal was put in ? Front load hatch on this is in front area located on the bottom(base).Remove the front  to gain access and you can now reach the pump and  look for any blockage. After  you have found and removed the blockage, run the washer again and if any water leaks remain call your local  servicer .You may have a bad front boot (seal) or its just loosened and it need to be re- tightened.Any water leak should be repaired ASAP so you dont have even more damage to the machine and your home.If the repairman cant stop the leak on his first visit than have the Boot replaced on his second visit.
