Fuses Are these fuse the three items with white porcelain centers? Check continuity?

I have check these fuses out and they all read good, but that reading was taken it place. After looking at the capacitors again, I do notice a bit of a "bulge on top. If these are supposed to be flat on top, mine aren't. Also checking these capacitors in place shows a different reading from one to another, making me think they might be suspect. Thanks for the help, Stevo

Push button is not working on Kenmore I'm trying to troubleshoot the promblem

There are three common problems to cause this . One check the fuses two check that the belt is not broken and three if it is a whirlpool built dryer there is a small thermal fuse on the back of the air housing. It looks like a small white bullet. Short out the wires if you have no meter. Make sure they are not touching the case and try. If the dryer starts replace the fuses and make sure the vent is clear.

My Kenmore 400series 6942 electric dryer works, but doesn't get hot. Pulled the heating element had it tested. It shows good. Had three other relay/fuses tested. They show good. It has to be easy enough...

This is the most common locations for thermal fuses and heating element on Whirlpool,Kenmore,Estate dryers. seth765.jpg if there is no heat then one of the thermal fuses is bad you will need to check the continuity on them and replace the one that does not have any continuity

KENMORE GAS DRYER NOT HEATING UP

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. No Heat issue in dryer is usually caused due to three things mainly: Thermal Fuse, Wiring Harness and/or Heating Element. Start with checking the Thermal Fuse which ismounted inside the back cover panel to the exhaust duct and is mounted in white plastic housing. If thats fine then the Heating Element should be checked. Please do revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Having applied WD40 into the fuse box to clean it, now the indicators, heating fan and MAIN COOling Fan do not work on my 1985 Escort XR3i Cabriolet ! I have changed the fuses but the three items still do...

a bad thing to do. The oil will stop continuity to your circuits. Disconnect the ground cable to the battery and flush the oil out with solvent and let dry thoroughly overnight or blow dry with an air hose till dry and let stand for an hour. Now you can start at square one again to see what your problem may be if so

Maytag Dryer model number PYE2300AYW will not start.

check your fuses in the dryer their is only one fuse that could shut down the whole dryer like that. Open back panel and get a volt meter and check for continuity on the fuses. HOW? first un plug it then open back then you will see the heating element their are 2 fuses on the heating element take off wires and check those. Then if those are ok look down thier is another fuses its long white with 2 wires comming out of it with a black center that should be your problem check it repair it run it . GOOD LUCK

Blows bothe fuses on power supply bd. b- shorted

The transistors you need are 2SD2560 and 2SB1647. (either you miss-read the D for a B or it was a typo) You can get them at: www.mcmelectronic.com
2S is a prefix on all Japanese transistors.
The 010 is a date code

Also check for open resistors from the base of those transistors and the dual emitter resistor (large white three leg resistor .22ohm)

Dryer operates but doesn't heat

If the power to the machine is OK then check these items.......
Before you begin, UNPLUG DRYER.
Remove bottom access panel by using a putty knife to depress panel clips (item 46).
7b869c5.jpg

Check the High limit fuse and heater for continuity. Heater (item 14) <20 ohms and HI-limit (item 47) <0.3 ohms.
d57be2a.jpg
If the heater or HI-Limit has failed it may be that the exhaust air flow has become blocked or restricted. Check the hose in the back of the machine for crushed hose. If OK, the vent pipe may need cleaning... check out www.linteater.com for vent cleaning info.

If you need further assistance please let me know..
