    To Whom It May Concern:

I have purchased a Philips Go Gear Mp3 Player for my sons for Christmas. Before a month had passed, my sons mp3 player had stop working. I preceeded to return it to the store where I purchased it and received a new one. It now has not been a month and this one seems to have locked up and/or quit playing. I am really frustrated about your products. What can you do to help regarding this matter. His mp3 player, model SA3021/37. Please email me back in regards to this matter. craftboyz3@suddenlink.net

I have a Philips gogear 2GB. I added new songs to it and when I unpluged it it shows a low batter sign and won't turn back on.

Does not play well with Windows Media Player 11.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

PHILIPS GO GEAR SA 178/37 WILL NOT KEEP A CHARGE

Yes. It takes a Rechargeable Li-polymer 280mAh
battery. Just unscrew the back carefully with a miniature Phillips-head screwdriver and replace.

Difficulty charging my go gear

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Then recharge for 3-4 hours only - charging longer may lead to problems

Nothing works

Does it say Philips and then go dark? If so, try pushing the reset button. Mine did this yesterday, because I did a complete erase. I had to push the reset a couple of times, then it started working again. I'm back in business, and listening to my songs as I type this.

Is your battery charged fully? Did you let it charge via your computer?

Whenever I try to turn my Phillips mp3 on, it stays blank, even if I charge it fully.

Triple Reset for GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Usually with the Philips players, you press and hold [PLAY/PAUSE] until the player switches on.

I need to know the model number (SAxxxx PSAxxx or HDDxxxx) to give you specific help.
