Hi,

This seems to be a hardware failure. It sounds like a blown regulator with filter caps which is a common failure on older unit.If you are a Technician I could go through skiz with you to repair if not your better off sending for repair to

http://www.myboserepair.com/

Rather than repairing it yourself, would advise to send it to Bose. They might repair it with a flat rate of $99.

I am sorry, i do not have a better solution. But, it's better to be honest.

Good Luck!!

Thanks!!

Bose Wave Radio/CD bad static and occasional "pop"

Hi, When you change the Aux turn the radio off. Then turn it back on. As for the static move the radio to another plug or to a different room. If you have floresecent lighting it may do that too.
The cord acts like an antenna so don't bundle the cord. Good luck.

Volume control not working

Can you change inputs or listen to the radio?
try removing the batteries and re-inserting them on the controller. I'm wondering if the remote control is locking up and preventing any volume changes. just make sure the volume keys on both aren't stuck down.
Failing this i'd be dropping in for a quote to the bose repairer,
good luck!

in the first place, the radio itself is not a bose. you may have a bad volume control switch, or switches.

Bose radio display doesn't show at all

I just posted a similar problem and did 2 more minutes of research on this site to figure it out. Hold down the 'cd mode' and press the on/off button. This turns the display on or off.

No sound

PLUG IN YOUR HEAD PHONES IN - do you get sound ? If you do Get sound from your headphones it could be that your speakers blown and would recommend Bose to take a look if still under worrentee. if NOT You could still get it covered by domestic general find them at this link https://www.domgen.com otherwise if you dont want to pay for a repair take a look yourself - get a screw driver open up the case as best as you can look at the speakers, you may well find that you have a dry joint or a cable could have come disconnected if so solder it back on and you've FIXED IT! hope this helps. if it does OR IT DON'T, please leave feedback Anyway cheers raverbaby
