Okay, saw this before, and tried to help but that was looking at it from the perspective that it never worked with the ipod.

Since this is obviously a software/firmware issue you need to contact apple customer service to find a resolution. They tweaked it, they should be able to patch it and solve the problem.

I'd still try to see if you can listen to the ipod via headphones while charging from your computer to see if they disabled those functions operating concurrently.

Thanks, I will try the PC thing as not done that yet.

I did contact Apple and they said it was the first they had heard about it and said 'that's what happens with technology in this day and age'!!!! So I have a 3 month old £300.00 BOSE product that is also part of Apple website that no longer works due to their upgrade, but they don't seem to have any intention of puttings this right..................can you believe that!!!!!! It was certainly one of the most unhelpful experiences I have ever encountered and there is nowhere on their website where you can provide any feedback on their call centre staff - not overly shocked judging by the standards I encountered. Apple, sort it out!!

Bose 321 series II giving very dull sound in all inputs. Occaisionally the sound cuts and comes back with full and bright trebble, but then cuts back to original dull sound. I cant see anything the ad

Try the following:

1) Switch the unit off completely, using the powerswitch on the back of the bass box.
2) Switch the unit back on via de switch on the bass box.
3) The display should read BOSE 321 and than be dark.
4) Insert a CD and switch the unit on with the remote by selecting the CD/DVD mode.
5) When the sound is now OK, it means that you need to contact Bose to ask them for the latest software update for your unit. After updating your system. The problem will not reoccur.
6) in case the problem continues and at start-up using a CD, no improvement of sound is heard, the system should go into repair. Contact Bose in your country and ask for return instructions.

I can not update my iphone

What's the current version of your iPhone?
iOS4? or you want your iPhone back to iOS4?
If you do not back up for IOS4, you won't update it to the version before iOS 6 now, as APPLE has stop support the Verification of old version
I your current version is iOS 4 and you want to update it you can update by iTunes easily. Just download newest iTune on PC and link iPhone to PC, then it will notice you for the update information.

My Ipod Touch doesn't fit in the Bose Sound Dock

The most cost effective bet is to fit a charge upgrade or a Bluetooth and charge upgrade yourself. It takes about five minutes. The complete kit is available form invebo.com and you don't need any special skills. click here to see the instruction video

You need to reset your ipod. You can go online to find out how to do this. I had to do it with mine and then it worked perfectly.

Does the new bose dock station charge the new ipod touch (32g)?

The new SoundDock II charges your new iPod touch and is fully compatible all iPods and the iPhone 3G. Also the SoundDock Portable will do this. But..
Better news-> Call Bose. They can upgrade the 30-pin connector to charge via USB-only and function with the remote as well. $99. This will make your iPod touch 100% compatible and somewhat future-proof your SoundDock. If the SoundDock was purchased within 90 days (at full retail price), they will do the upgrade for a smaller fee or even free I think.. (new 1 year warranty given with repair/mod) btw- This is an Apple issue, not a Bose issue. All 3rd party iPod connection devices had to make this change at some point.

Won't charge on Bose SoundDock

You're not doing anything wrong. Newer iPods and the iPhone require accessories that were specifically designed for them. For example, the iPod interface in my car will not charge my iPhone, however, I can still play music through it.

The only solution is to: 1: Buy a SoundDock II or 2: Charge your ipod seperately.

I have an ipod touch 8G I purchased a Bose soundock II. The sound is great but the remote only controls the volume. I cannot change tracks, move through playlists and when I hit the off button on the Bose...

Bothe the docking station and the remote are useless I recommend you buy a universal remote control. For the Ipod switching off-it does'nt switch off reason being it has it's own battery and does not depend on the electrical power of the docking station.

Sound stutters

Def. sounds like a software driver problem - but not for the spkrs - but for the sound card. Do a "Windows Update", selecting "Custom" in lieu of "Express". After it inventories which updates apply to your system, over on the left of the screen, click on "Hardware Updates" - see if there are any drivers listed for your sound card. Select them, and click on "Install Updates". If not, determine *exactly* which sound card you have, go to the manuf. website, look for drivers for Windows XP, download/install.

Contact them with the serial number from the media centre. They'll send you a software update disc free of charge. You just put the disc in the system, allow it to play and it updates the software. this solves this problem in most cases.

If not, it sounds like a drive failure - a repair is the only option and Bose are the best people to do it. Like all manufacturers, they'll quote a long date just in case - but normally their repairs department work faster than you expect!
