SOURCE: On outside compressor for whole house

There should be a wiring diagram on the back of the access panel. If you can't read it, check online for model wiring diagram. Don't guess, you may cause more expensive damage.

I need the wiring diagram for a Nordyne GS3BA-024KA condenser

3 wires for compressor, 3 for fan. 2 comp. wires go to the top of the contactor, the remaining goes to herm terminal on capacitor. 1 fan wire goes to the top LEFT of contactor, remaining 2 go to com and fan on capacitor. You will then have 1 wire left that goes to the com on the capacitor and should go back to the top RIGHT of the contactor. NOTE: IF YOUR FAN MOTOR IS RUNNING BACKWARDS (MEANING AIR IS NOT BLOWING OUT OR UP) swap the to fan motor wires on the capacitor (fan and com) this should reverse rotation. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TURN POWER OFF AND DISCHARGE CAPACITOR BEFORE TOUCHING WITH INSULATED SCREWDRIVER. Good Luck!

I have a carrier package unit 50HJQ005-631 SERIAL 160BG50314, condenser fan motor wont come on, we found motor was gone and we replaced, capacitor too is new, but still dont come on.we test the contactor...

are you getting power to contactor? 240 volts. is the thermostat calling to the contactor you should have 24 volts to the contactor from the thermostat to turn it on the out side unit. check to see if the contactor is suck in this is in the middle of the contactor you can push it in to see if you are getting power if you push it in then youa re not calling from thremostat.

I bought a replacement Dayton electric condenser fan motor. The original GE had 3 wires. L1 L2 & the fan capacitor wire. The Dayton replacement model 4MB21 has 4 wires, L1 L2 and 2 capacitor wires tan...

The tan/white wire can be insulated/capped and not used. Use and ohmmeter to take a resistance reading between the tan/white wire and L1 & L2. There will be no resistance between the tan/white wire and one of the others. This will be the common wire. Connect it to one side of the contactor. Connect the tan wire to the fan terminal on the contactor and the other wire to the common terminal on the capacitor (that is if you have a 3 terminal capacitor, if you have a 2 terminal capacitor connect tan to one side and the other wire to the other). Then connect the other side of the contactor to the common terminal on the capacitor (on a 2 terminal capacitor connect the contactor to the side that doesn't have the tan wire on it).

Capacitors and contactors for Goodman air conditioner

I havent had luck in finding a part list for you but have you tried to look at the label on the motor(s) to find the capacitance? Or try on the existing capacitor? Dual caps are usually listed as 35/5uf or 35/5MFD on the actual part. There are only a few variances of contactors for residential systems normally 30-40va single pole single throw (spst) or 30-40va single pole double throw (spdt) singe throw contactors have four contacts for 220v and double throw contactors have two contacts for 220v and a constantly hot leg.

Im working on a old Rheem pac unit with a faded model and serial number! When I arrived the condencer fan was running real slow and nothing else! One fuse was burned out in the pull box! The contactor was...

Fan motor is going out or the capacitor to the fan is bad I suggest replacement of both the fan motor and the capacitor which should always be done any time you replace the motor. Also check your wiring again you have a wire connected to the fan that is feeding voltege straight through to the motor. Your motor should have 1 black wire that goes to on side of the contactor 2nd wire should be white and it should go to the common side of the contactor (oppisite of the black) there should be 2 brown wires both of these should go to the capacitor. One of the brown wires may have a stripe on it if so it goes to the side of the capacitor that is marked if no stripe then it does't matter which side of the capacitor it connects to. Also check the contactor to see that the following hook up is proper. First the contactor has L-1 L-2 marking These are the voltage leads into the system from the power supply. Each side L-1 and L-2 should have 110 to 120 volts on each. Second on the top of the contactor there should be T-1 T-2 these are your terminal feeds the should feed the power to the unit and should have 110 to 120 volts respectivly. There should be 2 terminals at either side of the contactor that are your 24 volt feed from your transformer one connects to the left side of the contactor and one connects to the right side. This is the feed from the thermostat that signal the unit to come on. Good Luck on your repairs hope this helped you in some way
