SOURCE: Unit shuts off on hot days

It may be low on refrigerant. On hotter days, the compressor has to run longer to reach the temperature you have on your thermostat. Have it checked for the proper refrigerant charge and have them test how many amps that the compressor is pulluig as well. With the proper breaker installed, the unit should not be tripping out. Make sure that the breaker that is in there now is actually the proper one for your unit.

SOURCE: My trace inverter SW2512 will only allow pass through power.

First problem is caused by the new generator producing too high a frequency... 65 Hertz is above the inverter limit. Adjust the governor down to 60 or 61 Hertz.
Breaker tripping may be due to excessive current draw from the Honda. Check the max AC input menu on the inverter. It might have been set lower to avoid overloading the original generator but if DC power was turned off at any time while you were changing generators, the inverter would have returned to it's default settings which may exceed the Honda's capacity.

Do you have anything plugged in? If they keep tripping with nothing plugged in I would call a electrician to troubleshoot or replace the breakers. They may still be under warranty from Siemans.

Starter battery will not charge

Hi
If the starter battery is not taking a charge, then it may have failed and require replacement. It is not uncommon for a battery that sits on standby for long periods of time to eventual fail. Best approach is to contact Kohler direct or one of their service agencies to get the correct replacement battery for the generator system.

Trouble of closing circuit breaker

Breakers are designed to trip when the amperage draw is more that it's rated for, or there is a short in the circuit that it is protecting. If you can reset the breaker and it trips under load, you are exceding the rating of the breaker. If your breaker is tripped and you try to reset it and it will not reset, chances are that your circuit is shorted somewhere. Replacing the breaker will produce the same results. You have to fix the short, then your breaker will work. Lots of luck for the do it yourselfer, or call a qualified electrican. Hope this advice helps you. Please remember to rate this response. Thanks.

I need to adjust the breaker setting on my generator. I have a Sace 7s ABB Sace 7 breaker that is rated at 1250 amps and I need to adjust it down to 600 amps. Which setting do I need to move to get this...

Most of those breakers are universal and can easily be replaced. Unless it's a special type of breaker, you can't change the amp rating, you have to get a new breaker with the amp rating that will fit. I can help you better if you explain the reason you want to change the amp rating.
