My dishwasher isnt washing properly - Tecnik 24 in. TKD795/3 Built-in Dishwasher

If you have hard water,,, that is a big if ,,,,, Make sure your softener has pleanty of brine salt and that the softener is working properly. Soft water = bright clean clothes.

On my dishwasher if I hold down the start button for a few seconds it resets the cycle could you do that with yours as mine is a different make?

Hi, The soap dispenser may not be the problem. It could be that it's not getting enough water. Is the pump running and water cleaning the dishes. Then there is no problem.

make sure the breaker isn't tripped. If thats good it is possible the door latch isnt latching properly and the washer wont start when the door isnt closed

To start with reduce the amount of detergent you are using. 2 teaspoons of detergent is enough for any wash.

Probably blocked spray arms is the cause of the unit not cleaning properly. Remove each spray arm (there are 3 in total) and check and clean all the holes as this is where the water sprays out from to clean the dishes and glasses. When they are blocked you get poor wash results. The bottom spray arm is the easiest and just pulls out the other two in the middle and the top you have to unscrew like a childs lock on a tablet bottle. Push up from underneath and unscrew each arm.

Recommend you get a box of brand name detergent powder (like Electrosol or Cascade) and begin only using that. (Neve use gel or tablets) Cheap Cheap, generic detergent does not dissolve properly, leaves residue of its own and cleans poorly.
If problems continue, check the heating element as it is very possible that it has failed and the dishwasher needs to get to the proper temperature to activate the detergent. Also check to see if the holes in the spray arms are not blocked with debris.
If the heating element is working, then the wash pump motor has begun to fail and you need to decide to replace it or replace the entire dishwasher.

If you have 2 units with the same problem i would check the water line/hose,they have screens in them and they could be obstructed.I would also see if the water pressure isnt too low.Also the line from the dishwasher to the drain i would check for obstructions.Let me know if you have any other questions.

it sounds like the element isnt working properly.locate the element connections by removing the lower kick panel and turn the unit on to the drying cycle.use a volt meter and check the voltage.if you have voltage there than turn the circuit breaker off remove the wires to the element and check with the meter for continuity,let me know.
