My samsung 540n monitor wont display only white light, how to resolve it?

if only white display is appear on screen it's means the problem is in main pcb section. its may be a loose contacting of the flap beetween main pcb & lcd panel. plz check it. if the main pcb will defective then no way to repair and replace the pcb.

I HAVE A SAMSUNG 2253 22' LCD MONITOR,POWER LIGHT FLASHES,AND SCREEN STAYS BLACK ,IT TRYS TO LIGHT UP ,BUT STAYS BLACK,MY OLD TINY 15' LCD WORKS FINE ON THE SAME COMPUTER,MY 22 USED TO WORK FINE??????

Hello,

A flashing power light like that indicated a blown power supply. Your monitor should be under warranty with Samsung. Check the mfg date on the back sticker, if it is less than 3 years then contact Samsung. If it is out of warranty then contact us at tech@ccl-la.com and we can get you the info you need to do the repair yourself.

I have a samsung 15 inch LCD TV. When I turn the

kcs36dd, Lcd TV's also have, just like LCD monitors, an AC to DC voltage power supply. It is called a "switch-mode-power-supply" and generates the DC voltages required for all the other important electronic circuits inside the unit. 98% of all 14" to 22' lcd panels have backlighting provided by "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" (CCFL) that produce WHITE LIGHT so you can see all the pretty colors that the glass LCD PANEL produces on the screen. The INVERTER circuit requires 12vdc to 20vdc from the SMPS to convert into 500 to 1000v ac to light-up the CCFL's. IF the SMPS detects a FAULT CONDITION with itself or the INVERTER it will go into what is known as FULL or PARTIAL SHUTDOWN MODE to try and save itself from a catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure. e.g. sparks, smoke, fire. lmistyrel on aim.com I could give you more assistance if you had provided following informatiom.
1. How old is the unit? 2, Approximate total "ON" hours unit has? 3.Has unit failed within the WARRANTY period? 4. Will SAMSUNG do a cash+old unit swapout because of PREMATURE FAILURE? 4. Do you know enough to do a unit TEARDOWN and inspection to possibly determine ROOT CAUSE of SMPS/INVERTER failure? 5. Can you handle a soldering iron and solder to make DIY repairs to unit. 6. Since your unit is just a little more complex than a LCD MONITOR, have toy viewed on YOUTUBE short video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" or "LCD monitor repair" for the most common cause of BLACK screen complaints? If further assistance is required do additional post to original. 12fixlouie aka louie12fix on fixya

Only have a black screen Samsung SyncMaster 153V

It is either the Inverter board inside or the ccfl is faulty. Don't waste time, not worth to repair.

Does the monitor remain on does it switch off?
Problem seems to be hardware related ie monitor itself is defective.Try connecting to another known working system. If monitor is defective it could be a power/inverter related issue or panel could be defective.
Please provide feedback and rate the solution.

OK you need to try this monitor on another pc so as to write off a faulty graphics card. If your settings on monitor match the pc and youve tried the auto settings button, there is a faulty lcd for replacement.
