based on the maker of the computer , you have to obtain the CD revovery set. get in touch with the notebook maker and retrive the CD set . Once you get this CD set, isntall the OS as it will wipe off all the data and reinstall the operating system (OS) . The drivers will have to be downloaded from the makers site-- good luck !
you can do by fresh installation; which will format your hard drive and existing windows 2007. and another way; make partition or if you already have then install win XP on seprate partition other than win 2007. if you dont have partition; you can make it by partitioning tools or software like partition magic etc.
now you will need win xp bootable CD/USB; and you need to start your computer with option Boot with CD and if you suing USB then boot with USB.
and just follow step by step instructions in setup and as i said if you want to isntall on seprate partition then select that partition when it ask to choose partition you want to install.
