If you didn't mention Finder and I didn't know that was a Mac thing then i would have bypassed it. There should be a configuration or settings are. Make sure the printer is in there and set to default. Worst comes to worst go get the newest drivers for the printer.

Hp office jet 5610 wont print colors correctly


Some printer software that detect ink levels won't recognize a cartridge that's been refilled. They treat the cartridge as empty although you've filled them with ink. You can try removing the HP software that pertains to the printing functions only (not the scanner abilities). You can also do a Power reset. Remove the printer cartridges, turn off the power, remove both the Power cord and USB cord (if applicable) for 10 minutes. After reconnecting the USB and power cords, install the cartridges as you normally would. The printer should treat them as new.

Use the printer's utility program to self-clean the printer. This process may need to be repeated as many as 5 to 10 times. Often this will resolve the problem.

Turn the printer off, preferably overnight, if the self-cleaning utility has not worked. The ink may need to soften before the self-cleaning utility will be successful. Turn the printer on and try the self-cleaning utility again several times.


Determine from the owner's manual where the print head is located. Epson printers, for example, are usually in the printer. Many other brands place the print head in the cartridge.


Remove the cartridge. For models where the print head is in the printer, drop seven to 10 drops of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) down the ink receptacle area. This is the hole where the ink flows into the head from the cartridge. Run a few self-cleaning utilities. If necessary, allow to sit a few hours or overnight and repeat the self-cleaning utility.


Soak the cartridge print head in hot water if the print head is in the cartridge. Allow to soak overnight. Dry the print head area with a paper towel. Repeat the self-cleaning utility.


Place the cartridge print head in isopropyl alcohol if the hot water soak did not unclog the print head. Leave the print head covered in alcohol overnight. Use a damp paper towel to wipe off the print head area. Dry carefully. Try the self-cleaning utility again.


Purchase a new cartridge if the alcohol soak did not unclog the print head in the cartridge. This will provide new print heads that won't be clogged. Contact a service technician for repair of print heads in the printer if the alcohol did not unclog the print head.

CHECK THE LEVEL OF INK IN THE PRINT CARTRIDGES 1 From the Finder desktop, double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series folder. 2 Double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series Utility icon. 3 From the Maintenance tab, check the ink levels of the cartridges. If an exclamation point (!) appears on a cartridge, the ink level is low. Install a new cartridge. Improving print quality These are possible solutions. Why do I have lines in my final photo print


Hi,

The reason for getting lines onthe photo print may be with the cartridge printheads.Try cleaning the cartridge using a damp cutip.You may re-align the cartridge or use the clean cartridge utility to clean them.You will find these utilities by going to the printer icon and doing a right click on the icon,properties and under maintenance,

Blinking teardrop light blinking


Blinking drop light on HP6122 signifies an ink cartridge is out of ink. There are two cartridges -- color (larger of two) and black (smaller of two). Blinking drop light only indicates either, but not which. HP6122 service software and print driver are available from HP website http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=83027&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us. HP6122 service software has a printer maintenance utility which includes ink cartridge monitor. Use the maitenance service utility to determine which (or both) cartridge is out of ink. With cartridge replacement, printer should automatically print test page, then reset and be ready for printing from your computer. To clear printed documents from print que, open the HP6122 print que via control panel > printers > double-click on HP6122 driver to show que > select document tab > select cancel.

Samsung CLP-500 stopped printing in color. It won't print with half full cartriges that were working fine before, and not even with newly refilled cartrigdes. A test page is black and white only


Try this one:

If the printer gives you an error message after you have installed the chip like “incorrect toner” or “invalid toner” or any other error message, then you need to SWITCH OFF the printer, wait a few seconds, then switch it back ON and hold down the MENU button while you are powering it back on.
If your printer will only allow you to print in black only mode, then go to your printer settings, click on PROPERTIES and then restore to printer defaults.

Is the R1800 the only printer that you have on ythis mac?

If it is make sure it is directly connected to your mac via a USB or Firewire cable.

Trash epson folder from Mac HD-Library- Printers
Delete Epson printer utility from Mac HD- Application folder( if you have both delete both icon.

Under prnter setup utility delete the r1800 printer

Go to finder click on file the find, type com.apple.print, if it find anything drag it all on the trash, it will not disappear from the window ( the prefs and . cache files)

download the latest driver for your r1800 from epson website

then reinstall it, after reinstalling try to readd th printer and make sure under print using it will say Epson SPR1800 series. If you see guten print/ that is a third party driver. dont use the gutenprint. then try to print, update me for the outcome

The answer is no. Selling ink is how printer companies make money, and they will do everything possible to make you buy more ink, even when you don't need it.

Color problem in Epson Stylus Pro 4800


You can have problem whit the black ink. Try to print black text. And see it its real black a a green one.
If the text, print in black green it you have problem whit the black cartridge. If so change the cartridge.

Can not clear the print que


Follow these steps to resolve the issue. Step one: Delete the print queue Open Print Setup Utility located in the Application/Utilities folder. Double-click your printer in the printer list to open the print queue. Click the Stop Jobs icon. Click to select the document, and then click the Delete icon. Repeat the steps for all the jobs in the print queue. When the print queue is empty, click the Start Jobs icon. A message appears: No Jobs Printing . This indicates that the queue is clear. When you have cleared the queue, retry your print job. If the procedure has not resolved the issue, repeat steps 3 and 4. If the issue still persists, continue to the next step. Step two: Remove the printer from the list Open Print Setup Utility , located in the Application/Utilities folder. Click to select the Photosmart icon. Click the red X to delete the printer from your system. Close all open windows, and restart your computer. Step three: Add the printer to the list Open Print Setup Utility located in the Application/Utilities folder. Click Add . Select the printer that you want to add, and click the Add button. After a few seconds, your printer appears in the printer list, and your printer is ready to print.
