Adjusting a casio s940db watchband

  • On the inside of the band, locate the links with the arrow etched on them. The arrows mark the removable links.Lay the watch on its side on a flat surface with the arrows pointing downward. Be sure to leave about 1/2 cm of space between the bottom of each removable link and the flat surface. Using a 1/32" flat head jeweller's screw driver (or metric size 1.0), insert the tip of the screw driver into one side of the removable links' pin holes. You will find that the pins have an end that looks like a screw head. This is misleading - press down very firmly on the other end. Press downward firmly to make the pin pop out the other side. Be careful not to lose it.Remove the pin on the other side of the arrow-marked link.Repeat as necessary to remove half the needed links. You will remove the other half from the other side of the band to maintain equal band length.Flip the watch over so the arrows are pointing upward.Align the holes in the remaining links. Insert the rounded edge of one of the pins into the open link hole. The pin will go in without trouble until the top.Holding the pin in place, carefully flip the watch over again and firmly push the pin fully into placing using the flat surface. The pin will snap into place.Repeat for the other half of the band as necessary.

Rose gold Skagen watch strap changing colour to brassy.

this answer may sound odd but it happens, Everyone exerts different energy. Skagen bands are usually very tolerant of that but something in the band is having an effect from your skin. which is unlikely but very common in other watches. I believe they use copper in the mix for the rose gold bands, you may want to request a silver or gold band next time.. unfortunately the copper does not react well with your skin.

Info/site for 90 year old Dreadnought watch

the strap is normally not "cloth", it should be thin gold bracelet type.
most of them i've seen are from around 1912-1930.
yours maybe similar to the one below, but it's difficult without seeing the watch.

Eye of Sauron watch eye won't come on

Check to be sure the batteries that are specific to the special effects (under gold pressure plate) match the correct polarity. The top one should be "-" down and the lower one should be "+" down, but just check to be sure. You can find the polarity noted to the left of the battery and also very small at the edge of each battery slot - just look for a tiny green painted spot with polarity noted.

To reset the watch, look for the word "RESET" (lower right portion inside case) - notice there are three gold dots centered in green squares. Use either a tweezers or two pins or two small screwdrivers and touch both of the gold round dots simultaneously. That should reset the watch. Check it, if it doesn't work then try it again - two contacts at a time. I think I touched all of them in haste, but I believe it's the two matching gold dots that are the reset. Tweezer separation is almost perfect to rest the watch. That should do the trick. The batteries needed for this watch are SR626SW. Remember to put the black plastic stick on protector over the gold pressure latch that holds the two special effects batteries in place. If it's gone, cut out a piece of electrical tape and cover the gold so it doesn't come in contact with the case back.

I think that's more info than you needed, but good luck and I hope it works for you. I had to take my watch to the jeweler just to get the case closed - it was a tough one.
