Question about Panasonic PT L511XU Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

We changed the laptop that is connected to our PT-L555U LCD projector. The RGB connection on the first laptop projects as a BLUE screen, which is what we want. However, we can only get a green color sceen with the new laptop on RGB conneciton (video is fine). Do you have any suggestions on how to change the RGB connection to a blue screen?

The Panasonic projector PT-LB50NTU or E have two type of data inputs.
One is RGB or VGA cable and second is VIDEO cable. If your IMAC have video or vga output than you can connect.

try to restart your laptop into safe mode with still the projector connected. notice if your safe mode desktop appears projected as exactly as your laptop's desktop screen. if so, you only need to further configure your display settings.

Color shift blue tint

This could also be a setting. If you are using component video as a connection, make sure that the unit is set for RGB if coming from a laptop or other computer system. If the projector is set to YPrPb, the picture will look purple or bluish as you describe. Change the setting to RGB and all should be well.

Projector displaying yellow tint in center of screen.

The yellow tint is probably coming from the lens. It could be that the glass is tempered or possibly just needs to be cleaned.

Colour problems with projector

In short If the reds show as red, The greens show as green & Blue shows as blue. I would say thats as good as it can project. It's hard to judge color without seeing it for ones self but usually DLP projectors that use a colorwheel do not have perfect color.
