One of the typical problems people run into with MP3 players is that they lose the software that came with the player and can't figure out how to get music on or off the player. So here's a quick how to. This will work with most brands of MP3 players, or even USB flash drives.

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps.

My Zen V Plus 2GB blanked music and wont re-download it!

C00D11D2 is a Windows error, not a Zen problem.
If you want to try one more thing on the computer, look at this link:
http://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio/108219-vista-windows-media-player-error-code-c00d11d2.html

As a first try though, I think it sounds like there is a library issue on the player itself. Try a hard reset (push an opened-out paperclip into the reset hole on the side). This should then mean that the player re-builds the library of existing files when you next turn it on.

How do i add videos?

not limewire........plug device up to pc (go to my computer) open the new icon (drive) find the folder you have the videos in , open it, now click and drag to your device while in my computer...you can also download musical vdeo (same as downloading music) using limewire (gives you a choice what type of file are you looking for audio, video, software etc....................) have fun enjoy

I have a creative zen touch and ive installed and un-installed the software needed for it to work properly numerous times but it keeps saying that i havent and that ma zen isnt connected?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My zen refuses to connect now!

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable
