Question about Washing Machines
“SL” is displayed if suds are detected but the unit is unable to clean
it out. This may indicate a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive
detergent or excessive suds. Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display then
run the machine with few number of clothing and do not use detergent.
This is to verify if overloading or suds are indeed causing the problem
or not. The problem is a bad pump if the fault code still flashes.

So here's my solution... Remove the new pump/motor combo. Go to "Appliance Center" and pick out a nice new Maytag and have it delivered the next day. Have them haul the POS Calypso away and sell the new pump. Let me know it you need a new pump....
