I have no reading on my scales. I have replaced the batteries but still no show!

* Remove battery and check if there is white or green crystals on battery or terminals of battery case. Wipe off with paper towel. Use a rubber erasure to remove rust or crystals. Be careful of cracked silver metal flakes that may be very sharp! Use an emery board (old style nail file, but NOT METAL file!) to scrape down metal (chrome) flakes.
*Check battery positions. Pull out and re-insert following the diagram under cover or look for the "+" sign which indicates where the "nipple" side of the battery should be pointing to.
* If scale still does not work then the scale may be water damaged or buttons got wet or damaged.
* Check your warranty and call for service, as there are no customer replacement parts in most scales (spring or digital scales still need calibration after any repair.)

Polder kitchen scales light flickers after batteries changed

This was suggest by TWC42 on Amazon. I tried it and it worked. Had the same issue with mine. Here's a fix that might work. Set batteries aside. Remove the 6 screws from the back with a small phillips. Lift off the back. Remove the 5 smaller screws holding the display in place. Insert the three batteries. If the display now shows a number without flickering, do not remove batteries. Carefully replace display, reinsert five screws. Place back on, reinsert 6 screws. Turn over, see if off/on works. Mine did!

I have 2 Taylor lithium scales and each one has stopped working. I have replaced the batteries and they still don't turn on.

The reboot below may clear theproblem from
your scale. You may need to do thisseveral times to completely reboot
the system.
1. Remove the battery from thescale
2. Set the scale on the floor withoutthe battery in place.
3. Stand on the scale for 10 seconds(still without the battery)
4. Carefully replace the batterywithout turning the scale on.
5. Using only one foot, tap the scaleor apply just enough pressure to
turn on the display. (It should showdashes or zeros) IMMEDIATELY
REMOVE YOUR FOOT.
6. Let the scale turn off
7. Step on the scale for a weightreading.
Hope this will help you. GoodLuck.

I have a Thinner glass/brass round bathroom scale and I cannot find the battery location. I purchased this about 10 years ago from Frontgate but they couldn't help me. Can you?

I have a 10 year old Thinner bathroom scales also. Apparently the manufacturer designed it to make battery replacement hard so you'd buy a new scales. To replace the battery, if your unit is similar to mine, turn it over, remove all the screws and separate the top and bottom. You'll see the glass window that shows the weight. It is held in place by four tabs that are slightly twisted. Straighten them, lift the glass assembly clear without straining the wires, and turn it over to reveal the round black battery case. It is secured by three small screws and clear epoxy. Remove the epoxy with a knife blade, remove the screws, and separate the two halves of the case on one side being careful not to separate the other side where there is a metal connection piece. Using the knife tip, remove the CR2032 battery and replace it with a new one (available at Radio Shack or similar stores). Reassemble in reverse order; no need to replace epoxy. My scales worked fine after that.

The scale displays 8888 every time you stand on it. If you go to choose p1 it flashes data. Can seem to get the scale to reset using the instructions and removing batteries does nothing

I have a "Thinner" scale. You have to put a little weight on it to activate, it will show 8888. Don't step on, wait a few seconds and it will change to 0000, then step on.

Unable to pop battery compartnent in Health o meter EVERweigh

The whole top cover which is the part that you stand on (loading platform) comes off. Turn the scales upside down, pull the sides of the plastic cover to unclip the catches and the body can be removed from the cover. Remove the screws to the displlay and there will be a battery compartment underneath the display. Remove the cover to the battery compartment and make note of the battery orientation. Replace the battery in the correct orientation or you will destroy the scales. Repace the battery cover. Scew the display to the body. Press the cover on the body with the display showing through the window.

Err 1 message on Taylor Lithium Elec Scale model 7346

This is a reply I received from Taylor customer support. I have followed this procedure enough times to wear out the original battery and still get the Err 1 message. You may have better luck.

Thank you for your e-mail. The reboot below may clear the error from
your scale. You may need to do this several times to completely reboot
the system. Please let us know if you have any questions or continue to
display the Error.

1. Remove the battery from the scale
2. Set the scale on the floor without the battery in place.
3. Stand on the scale for 10 seconds (still without the battery)
4. Carefully replace the battery without turning the scale on.
5. Using only one foot, tap the scale or apply just enough pressure to
turn on the display. (It should show dashes or zero's) IMMEDIATELY
REMOVE YOUR FOOT.
6. Let the scale turn off
7. Step on the scale for a weight reading
