- Does not recharge.
- Computer does not recognize the device when it is attached via USB cord.
- Resetting the device has no effect.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    2. It turned back on

    3. Then it froze after it said "rebuilding library"

Sorry guys, same thing happened to mine.  I am an electronics engineer so I thought I might open it up and see if I could manually reset it...no use, its done.  Some part is not working properly and that prevents battery from charging, or its own OS from loading properly.  If its still under warranty send it back, if not its time to start looking for a new one if you haven't done so already.

My creative zen v plus is not detected by my pc when connected it

I had problem like that, i m afraid the only solution is to reload firmware - you can do it on your own (try to hold play button and turn it on, menu should appear, choose reload firmware, but you need your comp to detect player to do it i m afraid) anyway, i found pro to do it for little money :p if your zen is new creative service should do it for you for free

My Zen V Plus is really screwed up

Sounds like a similar problem I had today.

My Creative Zen V Plus wasn't recognised by my PC, then it wouldn't even switch on.

Following the solution of another similar problem on here I fixed it. Connect your Zen via USB to your computer and press the reset button. Should spring to life and start re-building your library. I am as I type adding new tracks to mine :))

Creative zen v problems-frozen

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

My mp3 won't start.

You could try reflashing the firmware onto the player. Go to www.creative.com and look for the support section. Search under downloads for firmware for your player and download that. Follow the instructions on the website.

My mp3 won't start.

Recommend you take a look at this Creative MP3 PLayers FAQ site, it has a lot of info. BTW, I have the Nano (but not Plus) and I think the reset-switch hole they refer to is next to the USB connector on mine. http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=dap&message.id=24175
