Tip

HP LaserJet LJ 4350 locks up when duplexing

Symptom: Your LaserJet 4350 prints just fine until you try to print a double-sided page. Then you see the page start to exit, pull back in, then stop. The Data light continues flashing green, and the display reads, "Processing..." There is no error indication, but the machine won't print the second side and continues to hold the half-printed paper in the duplexer. If you open the top cover and close it again, the printer will eject the page, then try to print the whole thing again, unless you're quick enough to cancel the job first.

Cause: The printer is expecting a different sized paper than what it's running. Often it's not the menu settings, but a little lever in the paper tray itself. Pull out the paper tray you're trying to print from and look for a little blue lever on top of its right-hand side. The lever is labeled "Standard/Custom." Flip it to Standard (parallel to the tray side) and your problem should go away.

I have a canon mf 5770 and you can hear it crunching the paper as it prints. document comes out wrinkled down the left side.

Dear burks, Your printers teflon had been turned. don't use the printer any more with this condition as it may damage printer's heater roller which is something costly. take the printer to any technician and ask him to change your teflon. thanks.

Sir my printer is canon mf 4320d sir it appears paper jam on display but i open rear and front cover but any paper is not found jam please help

I had the same issue, Turned out to be a tiny scrap of paper inside the fuser (the thing in the back behind the "caution hot" sticker. It was nearly impossible to see. I removed the screws on the fuser cover (to loosen, it wouldn't come off), then lowered the top lip enough to see the bright orange fuser roller. The paper scrap was stuck on the right side.

HI we have a Canon Pixma 780 printer. We changed where the printer takes the paper from when printing to the back of the machine. We want to change it back to taking the paper internally as when you print...

First thing to check is that the paper guide at the back is set. I've seen so many printers (of all makes) where the guide is not set at all.
Put a stack 20 to 30 sheets in the rear paper tray. Make sure that the stack is snug up against the right hand side of the feed tray (as you look at it from the front).
Then, make sure that paper guide - the little light grey plastic sticky-up bit at the left hand side of the feed tray - is moved up snug to the stack of paper. It should touch the paper but not squeeze it. Now try printing.
That guide is what makes the paper stay straight. If it does not touch the paper then the paper will go out of line.
This applies to all makes of printer and all types of printer.

Canon PIXMA MP150

Re: " its not taking the paper in evenly its going to the right side (where the wheel is) "

A: check the paper guides at the back, ensure that they are set to the correct paper wideness.
If it pulling on the right side, check that by chance there is no foreign object stuck on the left (eg packaging). Also ensure that the paper feeder tray had been extracted completely.

Re"I had a blonde moment and bought new ink for it when it came with it "

The standard cartridge provided with printer is much smaller than regular one, buying the ink was a good idea. This is also a good printer, if the problem does not get sorted by regulating paper feeder tray, then get a replacement one.
