Hi this is a common problem with most handheld gaming devices what happens is over time the battery gets bad cells and these then wont take the charge and after a while the battery wont hold any charge at all so all you need to do is get the battery replaced, this isnt something you can do yourself so take it into a phone shop that repairs these or an electronic repair shop

now you may save some money by buying the battery yourself you could get on off the well known auction site but make sure its the correct type and for your model of psp then all your paying the repair shop to do is fit the new battery which on its own wont cost much at all.

as the psp works with the charger it suggest the psp is working and their is nothing wrong with the psp which is a good thing its just a case of you getting a new battery and getting it fitted doing this will then solve your problem.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

You could have a bad battery -- the 3600's are generic batteries and not made by Sony. Our company sells them and we do see some defects come through every now and then.

Also -- it's important to have the battery cover ON and SECURE when you try the PSP with the battery. The cover pushes the battery in place firmly so that it makes contact with the 3 contacts in the back of the PSP.

Have you tried another battery?

M PSA10A-OY75MP SAT A10 SYT UNI CORRECT BATTERY MOD NO PA3284U-1BAS ?because battery says 10-8v 3600mAh charge pack says 15v~5a

I didn't understand fully but it is not unusual for a laptop battery to have a different voltage to the charger. My laptop battery says 11.1V 56Wh but my charger says 19.5V @ 4.62A. As long as you have the correct battery replacement part and correct charger everything will be fine.

Psp charger dosent work

This can be a number of things:
1 Remove your battery
2 Plug in the charger try turning it on
3 If it does you have a bad battery
4 Charge your psp through a USB cable(This may not work becuase I turned the setting for that on mine and it Didn't)
5 Let it your PSP full charge
6 If this works, chances are you have a bad charger.
You can get a generic 5volt charger anywhere for around $10 or so

Thank you for your time, Good luck and I hope this works

Difference in psp 1001 and 1003? price of retail?

The different models basically tell the region numbers. Region meaning Hong Kong, NA, Japan, Europe...Australia and so forth. But remember the ending number determines region. The only difference is the firmware version.

1003 is Europe , American PSP's are PSP1001 , Japanese PSP's are PSP1000

I cant charg my psp i cant find my charger

When you say you can't cahrge it, do you mean on your PC, PS3 or with the charger? I don't think the PS3 charges the PSP, I have no idea about the PC, but if the PSP doesn't charge using it's charger, it is either the battery, the charger, or the psp charger outlet. If it is the battery, buy a new one. If it is the charger outlet, it is a good idea to have 2 working batteries and to buy an external charger at game crazy, game stop, or from sony. This way, you can switch out batteries while playing, like me :). If it is the charger, buy a new one.
I would suggest first trying to buy a new battery. If it works, you are good to go and your old battery was broken, otherwise your charger/ charger outlet is broken. Buy an external charger. Then, you will be able to charge the batteries while one is in the PSP.
A new battery and an external charger cost about $70, but it is worth it. I hope i helped.

As far as linloo goes the connector (the yellow part on your psp) sounds like it's going bad or it is bad. You can find it on the net for repair and should cost more than $4-7.

Do you have access to another psp? Okay so you say you have tried plugging it into different outlets. It could be the adapter (charger might be bad) But the only way to test this is to put your charger on another psp to see if it charges. And vise versa with the other person charger on your psp.

And just in case you may want to check the battery and or the conector. By doing the same method I just said.
