Question about Eljer Toilet Onepiece Canterbury 081162047

Leaks from tank into bowl and when flush as it

Leaks from tank into bowl continuously and when flush as it fills a bubbling noise. Seal didn't seem very good when installed like there was hardly any wax to floor could this cause a not so good suction?. However there is no water leakage at floor. The toilet is new and flapper looks good. This is a eljer canterberry. Thanks

Hi,
Change the flapper with a generic one that will fit that toilet... the OEM flapper is **** and it does not allow for a good flush either...

Sounds like the water tank keeps filling

2 possibilities.1. The water level is set higher the the overflow tube. This will cause the water to run into the overflow continuously. You should be able to see this. 2. The large seal - bottom center of the tank - is leaking. This will cause the water level to slowly drop after a fill. The water tank will start to run again after flushing - BUT NOT CONTINUOUSLY. You should see if there is a small amount of water flowing from the rim to the bowl 15 seconds after the water has stopped running after a flush.

Hi keithn60...

I had the same problem one time with my toilet tank, the answer is to put some silicone on the seal washer between the take and bowl assembly and to use a level on the tank to tighten it just enough to be level and not leak.

I have a dual flush corona and there is a stream of water leaking into the bowl. It periodically has to continue to fill when it gets low. I have replaced the round seal inside the tank at the very bottom....

There should be a float inside the tank of the toilet. Be sure that when the tank fills that the float is not getting stuck, or not floating all the way up and not sealing the flush valve at the bottom of the tank.

Briggs vacuity toilet flushes poorly? Seal the smaller of the two gaskets between the tank and the bowl with silicone. The gasket is for sealing air only and is prone to leaks. Do this and it will bring back the woosh!

On my eljer toilet, I get continuous running of the water. If I shut valve off and pump the tank, the running stops (but only for a week or so). Suggestions? model 150-403 power flush pf/2

I don't know what you mean by "pumping" the tank. If the toilet runs, then either the fill valve is defective or the seal on the flush valve is defective. First, check to see that when you move the float, the toilet stops running. If it does not, then replace the fill valve. If it does, then inspect/replace the seal on the flush mechanism at the bottom of the tank. If this seal is bad, you can usually see water continuously flowing (slowly) into the bowl. You will see ripples on the surface of the water in the bowl.

BRand new elongated Cimarron shoots water out of bowl durng flush

Is the fill line in the tank loose? Does it just shoot water into the tank itself? I had this issue until I realized the while fill tube is supposed to be pushed into the black cylinder/small plastic tube in the middle of the stopper assembly. After i pushed the line into the tube, the bowl would always only fill a little bit. Now it fills almost a 3rd of the way up the bowl and doesn't bubble during flushes.

G-max flushing system is not filling to proper level

Is it not refilling the tank or the bowl? I've got a toto also that is not fully refilling the bowl after each flush. No leaks or other problems. Tank refills fine. Seems that the flapper doesn't float long enough to allow a sufficient amount of water to drain into the bowl before closing. Any ideas?

Toilet makes noise as though it has been running and quickly tops up the tank. I cannot take the top off to see what is going on because of the dual flow system.

The flapper is leaking and needs to be replaced. Different toilets have different style flappers, but they all forma seal from the tank to the bowl at the flush valve. When the flapper is lifted, the water rushes into the toilet bowl.

When they develop leaks, the tank slowly drains, (often unoticable) and eventually the fill valve senses the tank is not completely full and "tops off" the tank.

Buy the best quality flapper available, as the cheap low quality ones often leak right out of the package.
