My Fisher Paykel DEGX1 US dryer has no power after I reset the manual thermostat and vacuumed lint from inside the dryer and outlet pipe. It beeps when I plug it in so power is coming to the unit.

if the unit got backed up with lint and over heated then its a good chance that the Non resettable safety temperature switch has gone , you'll find it just by where the pipe exits the dryer , should have two wires on it and should be about the size of a nickel id bet its open .

No Heat on Dry Cycle - Check Thermos & Resuse Them!!

Once you have established if the problem is the thermostats, remove them from machine. In the centre of the plastic disk on the back of thermostat dead centre between the terminals is a little indentation, this is where the reset button used to be. Use a 1.5mm drill bit and CAREFULLY drill through this indentation through the plastic casing, when you have gone all the way through, place a 1mm dill bit through the hole and press down, you will hear a little click - Congrats - you have just reset your thermo!! Refit and test - Worked like a dream for me.

My samsung dryer dv330aew/xaa wont heat up is there a reset switch?

you can check the element with a multi meter for continuity. may also want to check the hi limit thermostat and the cycling thermostat, do u have full voltage at the terminal? sometimes a tripped breaker will give you half voltage say 110 instead of 220 and what u get is enough power to run the dryer motor but not the heat as it takes a full 220 to run heat

No heat fom dryer

Mike, These dryers temperatures are controlled by a thermostat if the thermostat fails there will be no heat generated. Some thermostats are re-setable. If the dryer temperature becomes excessive it trips by popping out a button on the top, which can be re-set by pushing down the button on the top, until it clicks back into place. TURN OFF ALL POWER and UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS OPPERATION.
