I'm not sure I understand your situation. Are you using the computer to put pictures on the card and then trying to see them on the camera? This is risky for both the card and the camera.

Check to make sure that you did not accidentally change image format from jpg to crw(camera raw). Your camera lcd will only display jpg files and you need special software to view raw files on the pc.

Transfering photos from my compuer photo gallery to my camera

Make sure photo files name must be under DSC00001 to DSC99999
connect your camera to computer, click My Computer, Removable Disk, Folder and copy photo files from computer and paste in that folder. If file name is different, camera will not show it in playback though file is in memory stick.

Olympus 850sw- write protect and picture error

Sounds as if the memory card has corrupted data on it now. You will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Setup Menu - right arrow to Format- Press Ok. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect and picture error messages and the card can be used again.

File error issue

If the images are on the card and transfer OK to computer then we will have to look back to the camera.
You are sure that playback mode is selected correctly - are you?
Check out the hand book for this.
If you are sure - then it would seem to be a fault and the camera should be returned to the seller or the Sony support site contacted with a view to obtaining a replacement

"System Error" & camera turns off when I try to us the instant playback.

Remove the SD card, use a card reader to view files on your PC. Save any pictures that you want to keep - and then delete the file and also the DCIM parent folder. Once you have done this, try it back in the camera. Worked fine for us after this.
