Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
It's a temperature sensor fault code and it flashes because the Central Control Unit (CCU) detected and extremely high or extremely low temperature of water coming into the machine. Either the water temperature sensor is disconnected, opened, or shorted.
Unplug the machine then remove the four plastic shipping bolt hole covers. To remove a cover, lift the rounded end to unhook the locking tab from the slot in the chassis, and slide the cover off the rear panel. Remove the hex-head screws (arrows) from the rear panel.
Pull the bottom of the rear panel out, and slide it down so the top edge is out from behind the lip of the upper panel, and remove the rear panel.
Check to make sure that the temperature sensor wire harness is fully inserted. Reseat the connection several times to clean off dirt and corrosion build up in the terminals and connector and make sure it makes a good a connection.
