Hello,

If you have a Samsung full HD 37" plug the yellow, red and white cables into the sockets on the LEFT side of the TV (not the back) and then select AV3. Also, you can Press the AV button twice it sh back should go back to color.

Take care.

Wii is playing in black and white, have played around with the cables, tried different combinations but still no colour.

Chances are your video settings are on pal/ntsc, and you're configured on the wrong one... Maybe this can be configured, but I think it depends on your version of the wii console, did you buy it on ebay?
However, I think that some homebrew applications could fix this, altought i'm not 100% sure

We turn the console on and start playing....but after 5 or 10 min the console showes a black screen with this message on: this disk cannot be read please reffer to your operations manual.

Hello :

1:This message can display if you eject a disc during game play. If this is when the message displayed, make sure that you return to the Wii Menu before changing discs if you wish to play a different game.
2:If your Wii console is laying flat, it may be positioned upside down. Ensure that is positioned right-side up: the game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot.
3:Ensure that you are properly loading a Game Disc.
4:If your console is placed vertically, the disc label will face to the right.
5:If your console is placed horizontally, the disc label will face upwards

Contact if that didn't help please !

rate if useful please !

best regards .

Wii plays in black and white.

Check if the tv has different types of AV settings, as this affects whether the wii plays in black and white or colour.

I upgraded my wii to 4.0 and installed the homebrew channel.Everything seemed to work great,so I tried to play guitar hero 3 the game shows up in disc channel but when you click start the screen goes black...

You might want to try a Loader instead of the Wii's disc channel. Are you playing original games or backups? You might have broke the Homebrew channel with the 4.0 upgrade. Check out this Wii homebrew set of tutorials to see if it'll help

Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.
