Whirlpool AWO D/4505 - How do I split / remove drum to change drum bearings ?

Whirlpool AWO D/4505 washing machine. I need to find out how to split the outer drum to be able to remove the inner drum to change the bearings. The outer drum is constructed from two plastic mouldings, pushed together. There doesnot appear to be any fixings ie screws / bolts holding the two parts together. I have tried levering apart, but no movement. Is there a technique for splitting the outerdrum on this model of washing machine?

The outer drum on the washing machine in question is made from plastic, and the two parts appear to be pressed together. Current use uf wide bladd screwdrivers to lever apart is having no affect, apart from damaging the drum where the to parts **** together. How do I split them to get to the inner drum.

My whirlpool awo/d5716 keeps ripping clothes. it looks like they are going down between the drum and door seal. its ripping mostly sleeves and i keeps losing socks which end up in the filter. if i put one...

It may be that the drum bearing has failed, allowing the clothes to get where they shouldn't be. Stop using it. Get a technician in, because it could fail and do irreparable damage

Unplug your machine and unclip the plastic trim panel across the bottom of the machine (front) to reveal the circular pump filter cover. Unscrew this cover with your fingers and remove any debris inside. Put the cover back on, clip the panel back on and try your machine again. Should be fine.
