Just format the card in the camera. Check in your manual under "Format" in the appendix (I can't find the manual online so I'm not able to guide you).

Why is the camera saying out of memory?

Usually it means that there is no memory card. Try to insert a fresh memory card then turn the camera back on. Most cameras only have enough memory for a couple of shots without a memory card being present. If you put in a fresh (empty) card and it says something about a card error, then use the menu to format the card, which may take a minute. If this does not work, please provide us with model of camera.

Hi, When i turn on its says on the screen memory full, but i have transfered all the photos on to my laptop. And the camera is empty, but still says memory full. Now it won't let me take any photos,...

Hi christoph8550,

Please follow the below steps :-

Make sure that you remove any memory cards from your camera and then switch on your camera.

After you have done that , you would have access only to your camera's built in memory for storing photos.

Now , try clicking a photo and see if it get's saved, if it does , then you need to format your memory card even if you feel you have it empty and then insert and check if the problem persists.

If it does not save and give you the same error , now it's time for you to format your camera's internal memory , just deleting them is not enough many times.

After you have done formatting this problem would go away for sure.

Let me know in case you have any queries.

Hope this helps ..:)

I appear to have lost all my holiday photos due to a crash within the camera when the memory was reading full. Although the camera is not recognising any images on the card It still has a message saying...

you can try to get your images if you use an adapter for the memory card that connect to your computer then there is an application that recover files from a memory card

Hope it will help

Screen says internal memory is full. how do you clear the internal memory

Hi there internal memory means inbuilt memory. When you click the snap all photos are save in your camera internal memory. I hope you use external memory card. Go in settings and select the memory card( external) for further snaps. Then the message did not come again until full the memory card. And if you want to clear the internal memory card then connect your camera with your PC then copy the all photos from the camera & paste in computer. After that go inside the internal memory of camera via computer & delete them. Then your camera in build memory card will empty. I hope you understand . If you have any question then ask me. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Same problem with a VIvitar X029. Try taking out the battery, then "seating" the memory card further into its slot. Replace the battery and close the door. The card should not be able to move when closing the door. If it does, it is not puhed in far enough.

Memory card sd

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

It would seem that you would have to do it all over again, that is download the pictures again to the SD memory card. But before doing this, you would need to format the SD card using the digicam rather than the PC.

In some cases, it maybe that the picture files (downloaded from the computer) does not match the image property requirements of the digicam so that even if the image files are stored in the SD memory card, the camera is unable to list/view them

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Camera says Memory CARD FULL--but it's empty

Olympus cameras are a bit picky! If you have not already tried then format the card on the camera. This is more reliable than formatting the card on a PC.

Downloading the pictures from your camera does not erase them from the card. It only copies them to your PC

Hope this helps
