Firmware upgrade needed to solve your problem

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

How do i check for updates on nb7

I don't know what a nb7 is, but for all devices, that can be updated, you should register with the firm it make the device and ask they will send you a message when there is an update.
When you have an Android device, most likely there will not be an update. And rooting, only goes with software that is written for your brand and model. There is not such thing as an universal android device you can update at will.

How can i get my camera to work on my medion labtop it used to work

This is probably due to the driver which runs the webcam either becoming corrupted or uninstalled. You will need to find a replacement for it, to do this you can open control panel from the start bar and then open device manager, there should be a "+" sign with imaging devices written next to it, click it and then double click the name that pops down. Click the driver tab at the top of the window that opens up and click the update driver button.
If this does not work go to your laptops manufacturers website. Find the model number of your laptop (usually written on the bottom) and then enter it into the search bar of the website, you should find a category for drivers there including one for the webcam!

Screen sais no map

If your tomtom gps is saying no map, the problem simply is that there is a problem on the gps device.

I have three suggestions for you to solve this problem. First, follow the step-by-step instructions for the "no maps found" situation in this link:…

If this doesn't work, follow the text instructions that I have written below. And as a final option, you can always call TomTom tech support at 866-486-6866 and they can help you out.

First of all, connect the device to your computer and close down TomTom Home software. (make sure it isn't even open in the system tray).

Now, open "my computer" and find the device. It will be labelled as a storage device (could be drive E:, drive F, etc. depending upon your computer). Open it up and find where the maps are saved to. Something like, North America, USA, or something similar relating the place you live. Once located, delete them manually.

Now, reopen TomTom Home software and go to "tools." Click ''use latest map guarantee''. It will then download the maps again and install them onto the device.

Next, disconnect using the option "disconnect device'' from the device menu.

Finally turn on your TomTom if it doesn't turn on automatically, and you should be back in business.

One additional tip: disable your anti-virus software before downloading & installing the updates. After this is complete, you can just restart you anti-virus.

Take care

Update for Pioneer AVIC-S2 I have Vista in my computer...they told me that I couldn't get my it true? Is there some free update for it....supposely they don't sale it anymore.... I been having...

You will have to go too the pioneer site and see if there are any updates for your system. As to vista causing the problem i don't see how that will work unless they never wrote the program to work on vista, but lots of programs do work on vista that were never written for it. Think they just want you to buy a new gps unit. On a final note make sure that you have the exact street name and put the name in exactly the way it is on a mailing address, i have no idea if you have been to montreal city before but gps units will give you the first address thet think you are looking for. So if you are looking for "rue Chevron" the gps unit might come up with "chevron rue" which is most likely NOT the address you are looking for.
Hope this helps you out.

Gps is not updated with new places cant get to final destination

You need to get your device updated - or - settle for a place 'near by' your destination.

When we updated our GPS, the price was near $100.00. You may want to sell your device (e-bar or craigs list) and just get a new device.

DVD Ram drive

This could be several causes. is it a dvd Rom Drive ??
first this could be software related. i.e which program is stating that it,s a blank cd ( windows or another program ? ) i.e nero or similar ?
try uninstalling the device ( DVD ) in control panel/system/device mansger. re-boot the computer and it should state. new device/harware found and ask for a driver.
If this does,nt work theres a chance that if you are using packet writing software, the disks are not finalising, hence they will not be recognised, as the T.O.C table of contents are not being written to the disk ( Finalizing )
Finally the read laser could be out of alignment or not powering up suffiently to read, other formats.
Hope this guides you to some success.
