When I open facebook website on Chrome... it opens and I am able to login.. but after that nothing is displayed ... Only blank page. Similarly BBC website is displayed all messed up... but everything is ok on MS Internet Explorer.

Reinstalling the problem may fix ur problem if it not then the major virus or registry error in ur registry so do antivirus and clean ur registry with reginout

3) Yet, this may be the issue as well...Check Facebook on Internet Explorer to see if it will reset normally. I have heard that if someone reported your posts that could lead to the blank page. And since Firefox and Chrome fail to run security checks on occasion, that could be why the page is totally blank.
